“Your Majesty, we have searched everywhere, we are unable to locate the maid” the chief guard shamelessly reported to me, an hour later.
“Hahaha! Are you telling me now that a suspect successfully escaped from the palace under your watch? Does that mean your position is just for ceremony and our lives are under threat?”
“I'm sorry, Your Majesty. I will do better…from..” Before he could finish his words, I had landed a hard slap on his face.
