Adams' POV
Since I saw the note, I had not been myself. All I could think of was what Ben was planning again.
Was he involved in tonight's attack? The leader of the attackers seemed to know me too well.
Lilith had her bath and changed into a free, semi-transparent white nightgown, while I went in to take mine.
I sank into the bathtub slowly as the cold water hit my skin, numbing my senses for a second.
My eyes grew heavy as though stones were placed on them, causing me to shut them and dive into a replay of the day's memories.
How long I was there I couldn't tell. My eyes shot open, however, when my memories got to the part where Lilith had been embarrassed to see me naked.
I came out of the water immediately and wrapped a towel around my hips, as the water tickled down my body.
