Chapter 18
Two weeks later, Jarod and Ty were still becoming used to their non-holiday routines. The reasonable hours at work gave them more time to spend with each other. But it still wasn’t enough time for Jarod. He was tired of sleeping alone in his too-big bed.
For the second time that day, he drove through town, about to enter the industrial neighborhood where Ty lived. He’d already been there in the morning when he’d dropped off Ty. Chills raced down Jarod’s back as he passed the few derelict houses that remained in the area. Dread washed over him every time he brought Ty back. At night, the area remained deserted, the neighborhood dark, and its crime rate not the best. There were no good reasons for Ty to stay there, and tons for him to move in with Jarod. Why is Ty hesitating?
