Chapter 5
Jarod paced the sidewalk for close to the hundredth time, glad the street remained somewhat empty, because anyone watching him would think he was casing one of the stores. No. He was just a nervous wreck over his date with Ty. Not so anxious for the date itself, but more for the fact he wasn’t sure Ty planned to show up, and Jarod wanted him to. He should’ve taken Ty’s phone number or at least given him his own. Then if Ty ran into a problem, he could let Jarod know. Now if Ty didn’t show, Jarod would take his absence personally.
But what if something happened to him? It wasn’t too farfetched to worry. After what happened at the bar, it’s possible he got himself into more trouble.
