“You won’t believe what happened today at school.” I had just changed into my comfy clothes when I got a call from Evie. I decided to tell her about my day then and there.
“What happened?” Her excitement was contagious, and I found myself smiling as I recounted my day.
“OMG! That’s so cool!” Though I couldn’t see her, I imagined her grinning widely.
“Yeah, you should have seen Sarah’s face when I sank the ball into the basket.” I said, settling onto my bed, pulling my favorite cushion close, and crossing my legs around it. That position? My absolute favorite. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
“Oh gosh! I can only imagine! I wish I was there. Really.”
