"Calm down David and give the man a chance ok "
"Ok fine i will try " it gave me great joy to see David calm and collected and i would be glad to say that he is one hot man when serious
"Now Mr Lockwood can you please enlighten David on him mission "
"Please non of that Mr Lockwood nonsense, call me James; anyways i asked for your best man because i suspect fowl play in the company, i was already suspicious of the missing funds in the company but the mysterious caller confirmed it to me "
"Wait mysterious caller what.. what does that mean " David said, i was surprised that he talking directly to me and i think he noticed it because he looked away from me after a while
"Yeah mysterious " and i when ahead to tell them every thing the caller told but i just couldn't tell them about the flash drive not because i didn't trust David no that wasn't it, i didn't trust Marcus that was it, i mean the guy is weird to me but i can't tell if it is just he style of fashion or he just happened to have something up his sleeves.... probably both
"So who are you suspecting to be the one embezzling company funds " David said
"Well i am suspecting them to be my board of directors "
"But why would they do that i mean the stand to lose if the company goes bankrupt right "
"You are right David but there is a loophole;i hold more shares in the company so if the are able to take me off the CEO position and some how convince me to sell my shares, the company ownership will transfer and the company will not go bankrupt if the new owner will be able to pay off the embezzled funds "
"Well why don't you pay off the money stolen "
"Don't you think i have tired to do that but still the money goes missing before it enters the company's account "
"Well sign me up for that "
"Really, you going to help me "
"Yes i am willing to try but can we move this meeting to a later date i have to pick my son from school "
"Ok since everything is sailing nicely now, the contract will be sent to you later today to your office " The slime bag decided to talk now "ok thank you for your time "I said walking out the door, i need to talk to David, i don't trust Marcus and i am sure he doesn't trust him too.
A few minutes later i see David walking toward his car in the parking lot and i call out
"David wait up "
"Why " he said looking at me with hateful eyes
"Look i get it we have history and we will deal with it later but not now because i need to tell you something "
"What is it "
"I can't say it here, come over to my office at 10 pm "
"I am sorry but i can't, my son "
"Bring him over too "
"I don't think that is a good idea "
"Come on David just think about it because i have a lot to discuss with you and it involves your safety and that of your son "
"I will think about it "
"Ok fine, here's my number, call me if you will make it "
"Ok bye "
Damn...that one way to have a conversation with the one you love
"Oh by the way David, make sure no one is following you " I need him to be careful
"Ok thanks for the heads-up i guess"
I decided to head home and sleep off my stress and i think i am gonna need the strength to deal with David.

David's pov
Fuck
Oh my God....i did it, i didn't show fear, i am not afraid of him anymore.
I always wondered how it will be to see James again, to see if i will be scared of him and i found out today; i am actually feeling better now then i was this morning.
But after all those years of pain and suffering, i still have feelings for him but lord knows that i will never act on it but that doesn't mean i can't admire me i he is breathe taking with his red hair and curves to die for..... wait wait what i am i doing, i am thinking of him in a good way when i am supposed to hating him with every f*****g cell in me. This is just business and nothing else, i wander what he wants to talk to me about; it sounds important "i think i should go, give him a chance " and with that settled i noticed that a particular black car has been following me for about a mile now.

I lost finally lost him after a few turns and rough driving, i parked at the front of the school and notice Charlie already running to enter the car. Why the rush, something is wrong "Hey pup, what's wrong "
"Hey dad remember when you told me that you love me "
"Yeah i did "
"Well if you love me, feed me then because i am starving "
"Really, you want me to prove my love for you through food "
"Yes papa "
"Alright fine, how about spaghetti and meatballs "
"Yes finally no more lazy foods "
Shocked "*gasps* what is that supposed to mean " I said trying to pay attention to the road
"Come on dad, don't think that i haven't noticed "
"Well it's your fault for waking me up early every morning "

"What...look who's calling me a child, i am way above 5 just so you know "

After we got home, i tried to trick Charlie into helping me cook with extra dessert but i think that i have over use that trick because it didn't work so i ended up cooking and making dessert all by myself......no fair i thought to myself pouting
"Charlie get your butt up here, dinner is ready " I said serving the food on the plates
"Hey Papa, the food is looking good "
I don't know if he is trying to mock me with his baby face or just be grateful but i think I'm gonna go with the latter.
"Hey pup i want to talk to you about something " I said after a few minutes into dinner
"You are going for another mission right "
"Yes pup, i am "
"Daddy don't be sad, i understand you have to work to feed me "
I couldn't help but smile at my brave son, trying to hide his hurt so he can make me happy; God i love this boy and if anything happens to him i am so gonna kill James "i know buddy i know but there is a twist this time "
"Umm a what "
"It means that i can bring you with me if it is not that dangerous "
"Oh my God, please papa bring me with you please "
"I will but you have to promise me that you will be careful and take care of yourself "
"But papa won't you be there with me "
"I will pup but not all the time so you will be spending some time with daddy's friend, uncle James " ugh...the thought of being James's friend didn't sit well with me
"Ok papa i promise you, i will be careful ok "
"Ok good anyways we will have to go and see uncle James tonight ok "
