26th July, 2014 "Omaa!! Where's Siyi??" asked Ray. "She went out early for school today... I told her to wait for you, but she said she had some assignments to complete..." answered Ray's mother. "Okay! I'm going then... Bye-Bye!!" spoke Ray. While walking across the streets, Ray found Siyi sitting on a bench facing the public garden... He stood for a while, staring at Siyi and then moved ahead for his school... "Ray!! You came so early today?? Where's Siyi??" asked Jun. "How could I know??" replied Ray. "Okay! Okay! Come on!! Lets play basketball to warm up..." spoke Jun. Ray and Jun went to the basketball court... After a few minutes, Siyi arrived at school... She felt something fishy as everyone kept staring at her with suspicious eyes... "Wae Geurae (What's wrong)!! What's wrong with everyone?? Is it due to yesterday's incident?? But why is everyone gazing at me as if I stole their money??" Siyi kept on thinking while walking towards her classroom. When she was about to enter her classroom, suddenly Minah appeared... "Aiyoo!! See... Who came to our class??" spoke out Minah in a creepy tone. "How can someone be so shameless?? Like father, like daughter..." spoke Minah's friend. Siyi looked at them with shocking eyes... "How can you hide it so well?? You think yourself so smart... We all need to learn from you..." spoke Minah. Suddenly, Hyesuna appeared holding a newspaper... "Siyi!! I thought you as my good friend... But you!! How can you keep us in dark?? It was good that Ray kept this newspaper on our teacher's desk... Or else we could have never got to see your bitchy side... How can you be so pretentious as if nothing happened?? You really thought you could conceal the truth about your father being a serial killer!! I never thought you could fall to such low extent... You don't deserve to be anyone's friend..." spoke Hyesuna aggressively. "Friend?? Are you joking Hyesuna?? She doesn't even deserve to stay at our sacred school... Kick her out of this school!!" Minah ordered her friends to kick Siyi out of the school. Siyi's mind went blank... She couldn't think of anything and suddenly spoke out in a stammering tone, "My father didn't do anything... He's innocent... He didn't do anything bad..." "So you mean this newspaper is lying... Siyi o' Siyi!! Stop beating around the bush... How can you be so shameless Siyi?? You still have the face to explain us??" spoke out Minah rudely. All of a sudden, a girl came and poured cold water on Siyi's head... She was completely drenched and started shivering... Everyone started laughing by watching Siyi being bullied... After a few minutes, Ray and Jun arrived... "What's going on?? What happened here??" Jun asked everyone. Suddenly his eyes fell on Siyi... "Siyi!! Why are you so drenched??" asked Jun. Siyi kept quiet... She couldn't utter even a single word... She couldn't bear the persecution anymore... She looked at Ray with tearful eyes and went out of the school... Everyone went back to their classes... Jun and Ray got to know about the incident from their classmates... Ray couldn't wait till the end of school hours and rushed to find Siyi... Siyi went to the sea-shore and cried aloud, venting all her pain... She kept on weeping until her heart melted completely... "Why did you do that Ray?? You said that you didn't care whether I like you or not... Then why did you that to me?? Even if you hate me, you could have vented your anger upon me... You could have scolded me... You could have beaten me up... Why did you spread my father's news without knowing the truth?? You have messed up my life completely... I'll never forgive you for what you did to me today..." Siyi spoke to herself. "From this moment, I 'Park Siyi' hates you 'Kim Ray'... And this hatred will last forever... I hate you Ray... And I'll hate you forever..." Siyi hollered loudly. Ray bunked his classes and searched for Siyi everywhere he could... He asked the passersby for Siyi's whereabouts but he couldn't find her... So he returned back home in disappointment after few hours... "Ray!! You came home alone?? Where's Siyi??" asked Ray's mother. "Aahh!! She went with her friends to hang out... She'll return soon... Don't worry about her..." spoke Ray. "Oh! Okay! You wash up yourself and come for dinner..." spoke Ray's mother. After few hours, Siyi returned home... "Siyi!! Why are you looking so pale, my child?? Did something happen??" asked Ray's mother. "Nothing Sungmo!! I'm just a bit tired... I'm going to get some rest..." told Siyi. "Let me serve you dinner..." spoke Ray's mother. "No! No! Sungmo... I already had my dinner... I'm going to bedroom now..." replied Siyi in a tired tone. "Okay!! Get some sleep then..." told Ray's mother. After few minutes, Siyi's granny knocked the door of Siyi's room and entered inside... Siyi wiped out her tears quickly... "Siyi!! Are you okay?? I heard from Hyeri that you are not feeling well... Is anything wrong with you??" asked Siyi's granny. "Nothing Halmeoni!! I'm okay... Just a little tired..." Siyi spoke with a smile, pretending to be alright. "Okay then!! Don't push yourself too hard... It's okay if you don't score good... But don't pressurize yourself... Halmeoni will always support you, my child!!" Siyi's granny spoke and kissed her forehead. Siyi couldn't control her emotions anymore and burst into tears... "Halmeoni!! I don't want to stay here anymore... Lets move to some other place..." cried out Siyi in pain. "What happened my child?? Did anyone bully you?? Tell me... Don't cry like that... You know I don't have anyone in this world except you... If you'll be in pain, how can I live in peace?? Please don't cry my child... Tell me what happened exactly..." Siyi's granny asked her. "Halmeoni!! This world is very cruel... Everyone in the school knew about Abuji (Father)... They bullied me speaking ill about Abuji... I tried to explain the truth to them, but no one believed me... Everyone believed that fake news... Even my friends blamed me for betraying them... I don't want to stay here anymore... Halmeoni!! Lets move to some other town..." spoke Siyi while weeping. "Okay, my child!! Don't cry anymore... One day, the truth will definitely be revealed... You have to hold on till then... I'll talk to your uncle (distant relative) to arrange a place for rent at Gangnam... We'll move there tomorrow..." Siyi's granny told her. The next day, Ray went to school early to finish his assignments without getting any notice about Siyi and her granny moving out to some other town... In the meantime, Siyi and her granny packed their stuffs and got ready to move... "Halmeoni!! You're making me sad... It has only been a few days since you came here... Why do you have to move now?? And even if you're moving, why don't you leave Siyi here??" asked Ray's mother in a sorrowful tone. "I really don't want to move... But what can I do?? I have some important work to complete... And moreover... It may take 2-3 yrs... I have become so old... Without Siyi, it'll be difficult for me to survive... But you don't worry... We'll come to visit you whenever we're free..." spoke Siyi's granny. "Halmeoni!! I brought Siyi's transfer certificate from her school... Siyi!! Take this..." Ray's father handed the transfer certificate to Siyi. “Thank you my child... You have helped us a lot... Without your help, I couldn't think of any way to raise Siyi...” spoke Siyi's granny expressing her gratitude towards Ray's father. “Please Halmeoni!! Don't belittle me by saying such words... I'm also your son... It's my duty to take care of you and Siyi...” replied Ray's father in a gentle tone. "Halmeoni!! Please give me a call when you reach at your destination... Siyi!! My child!! Take care of Halmeoni and yourself too... I'll miss you a lot..." Ray's mother spoke in a painful tone. Siyi nodded her head with a smile... Siyi and her granny departed from Ray's house... After school, Ray came back home... "Omaa!! Why does the house look so empty?? Where's Siyi?? Why didn't she come to school?? Is she sick??" questioned Ray to his mother in a worried tone. "Siyi and Halmeoni already moved out of here... You should be happy now... After all, you wanted her to leave our home since long..." spoke out Ray's mother in a dejected tone. Ray was in shock... He stood still for a few minutes and then went to search for Siyi... He ran errands, but couldn't find Siyi... At last, he went back home in disappoinment... Days passed........
