Dreadful Stalker

Ray waited for Siyi to finish her work by pretending to be busy with some tasks...
At 9.45 pm
"Aahhh!!! Finally finished..." Siyi spoke out in a tiresome tone.
She shut down her PC and got up from her seat and then, started moving out of the office...
Ray quickly got up his seat and rushed behind her...
"Siyi!!!!" called Ray.
"Did you finish the tasks I allotted you??" asked Ray.
"Yes boss..." answered Siyi.
"It's quite late... I'm off work now... Let me drop you at your place..." spoke Ray.
"Thank you Boss for being so thoughtful... But it's not appropriate for a boss to drop his assistant back to home..."
Siyi replied.
She added,
"Moreover... There is still 10 minutes left for the last bus to arrive... I can catch the bus on time if you stop bothering me...
Bye Bye!!"
Siyi went to catch the last bus...
Even though Siyi's reluctant words made Ray upset, he was still worried about her...
He drove his car and followed the bus in which Siyi took a ride...
Siyi got down at her stoppage and went to the nearby convenient store... Ray kept on watching her, sitting inside his car...
Siyi bought a pack of instant noodles and started eating...
Watching her eat, Ray spoke to himself, "How can this girl eat instant noodles at such late night?? Not health conscious at all..."
Siyi finished eating the noodles and started walking down the streets of a slum area...
Ray parked his car as the street had narrow road and started following her...
After walking some steps, Siyi entered into her house...
Ray was shocked to see Siyi living at a small and ramshackle house... He kept on standing there even after Siyi went inside her house... He then, looked around the neighborhood and spoke out in a worried tone,
"It's so messy here... Even her house is so dilapidated... How can she live in such a locality??"
Ray's heart got disturbed after learning about Siyi's lifestyle...
He went back home and drank three bottles of wine to calm his heart...
He kept on thinking about Siyi until he passed out after drinking so much of alcohol...
The next day, Siyi worked overtime again and left for home late... So Ray followed her again to ensure her safety...
While walking down the streets, Siyi felt something weird...
She had qualms about someone stalking her... So, she moved her legs faster to reach her home...
"Oohh Gapjagi!!"
Siyi spoke out in relief.
"Why did I feel like someone was stalking me??
Is it real or just my illusion??
And why would anyone stalk me??
Aaish!! That scared the crap out of me... It must be my illusion..."
Siyi spoke to herself.
Next day, Siyi went to work...
"Hey Siyi!! Why are you looking so pale?? Are you sick??" asked Mr Jeong.
"Ani (No)!! I didn't get enough sleep yesterday..." replied Siyi.
"Well Siyi!! Do you know?? There is a stalker wandering in the locality where you stay... He stalks beautiful girls and captures their bizarre photos illegally... You should be careful while returning home at night..." spoke Mr Jeong in a scary tone.
Siyi got goosebumps after listening about the stalker...
"It seems like yesterday I was stalked for real... It was not my illusion...
Ommo!! What shall I do now?? If the stalker follows me tonight?? No! No! I have to find out a way..."
Siyi, being frightened, spoke to herself in her mind.
Ray heard their talk while passing by... He was worried about Siyi... So he allotted her less tasks to finish...
Siyi finished her work within her working hours...
"Thank God!! I could go home early today... But if the stalker will follow me again?? Ottoke!!"
Siyi spoke to herself and started biting her nails in panic.
"Idea!!"
Siyi went to ask Mr Jeong to accompany her to her home as she was afraid of the stalker.
"Siyi!! I would have definitely accompanied you... But today is my daughter's birthday... If I don't reach home early, she would be mad at me... I don't want to upset her in her birthday... I'm sorry!!
Okay, Bye Bye!!"
Mr Jeong spoke quickly and ran out of the company in a rush.
"It seems I have no option left now...
Siyi!! You are a strong girl... No stalker can harm you... Fighting!!"
Siyi encouraged herself and left for home.
Ray followed her again as he was worried about Siyi, if she would get hurt by the stalker...
Siyi put her steps faster and faster... She looked around after each few steps and rubbed her palms continuously in panickness...
Suddenly someone came from behind and started hitting Ray with a stick...
"You brat!! How dare you stalk girls at night?? You think, you can escape from my sharp eyes?? I'll not let you get out of my hands today... After waiting for so long, I finally caught you red-handed, stalking girls... I'll beat you to death today, you brat!!" shouted the stranger and hit Ray hard.
Siyi ran to them and asked anxiously,
"Ahjussi!! What are you doing?? Why are you hitting this man??"
"Little girl!! I saw this brat stalking you yesterday, while I was returning from my work... So today, I waited for long to catch this brat red-handed..." replied the stranger in a furious tone.
"Mwo (What)!! You punk!!
So you followed me yesterday... And you even dared to follow me today... Do you know, how much scared I was because of you?? I'll not let you off today...
Ahjussi!! Beat him harder... More harder..." spoke Siyi in a surprising tone.
She took off her heels and started hitting Ray.
After a few seconds Ray shouted in pain,
"Stop it!! Stop it please!! I'm not a stalker... Siyi!! It's me... Ray!! Stop hitting me Siyi..."
"Ahjussi!! Wait..."
Siyi glanced at Ray carefully.
Ray stood up slowly in pain...
"Ray!! It's you??"
Siyi spoke out in shock.
"Whom did you expect it to be then??" asked Ray in pain.
"But!! But why did you stalk me??"
Siyi asked.
"I heard that someone was stalking girls and snapping their weird photos in your locality... So I followed you to protect you from the stalker... But instead, I got beaten up... What a bad luck!!"
Ray spoke in a painful tone.
"What's going on?? Can anyone tell me??" asked the stranger.
"Ahjussi!! He's not a stalker... He's my boss... He followed me to ensure my safety...
Thank you for your concern... You can go home now..." replied Siyi politely.
"You should have told me earlier... This young man got beaten up for no reason...
Okay! Okay! Go home now... Treat him with first aid..." spoke the stranger and left.
"Let's go..." spoke out Siyi.
"Where are you taking me now??" asked Ray in a panic tone.
"To my home... Don't talk anymore... Come with me... Walk slowly..." replied Siyi and took him to her home holding his arms...
"You sit here... I'll bring the first aid box..." spoke Siyi helping Ray sit on the sofa.
"Siyi!! Who came, my child??" asked Siyi's granny.
"Oh Ray!! It's you!! It's been a long time... How are you and how's everyone at your home?? I remain sick most of the days... So I didn't remember to call your parents..." spoke Siyi's granny noticing Ray.
"I'm good Halmeoni!! And everyone is doing well at home..." replied Ray with a delicate smile.
"By the way, what happened to you?? Did anyone hit you??" asked Siyi's granny in curiosity.
"Halmeoni!! Actually, I mistook Ray as a stalker and hit him..." replied Siyi in embarrassment.
"Aigoo!! How can you make such a mistake Siyi?? See!! How badly you hit him...
Oh my poor child!!
Apply ointment on his body fast..."
Siyi's granny yelled at her.
Siyi treated his wounds carefully...
"Aahh!! It hurts..." spoke Ray in pain.
Finding Ray in pain, Siyi began treating his wounds more gently...
"It's been so late...
Ray!! You stay here tonight... I'll prepare some delicious food for you..." said Siyi's granny.
Siyi stared at her granny in astonishment...
"Okay Halmeoni..."
Ray agreed without hesitation.
Siyi glanced at Ray in surprise for a few seconds and went inside...
"Siyi!! Come...
Help me in cutting the vegetables..." said Siyi's granny.
After an hour, Ray ate dinner with Siyi and her granny...
Since they had a single bedroom, Ray slept on the couch...
Even though it was uncomfortable for him, Ray enjoyed staying at Siyi's home...
He felt very happy even though he was injured...
It was a memorable day for Ray...
Will Ray cherish these moments?? Will he ever realize his feelings for Siyi?? Or will he continue to be ignorant and stubborn like before??
