Messages and Hopes

When I finally managed to get everything done and mom gone to work, I decided to shoot him a text. But what would I say to him? Okay maybe I need to get a grip but I really didn't know what or how to start this message to him. I didn't want to sound corny but then again I really didn't know what he wanted with me besides maybe being friends. Or at least I secretly thought maybe more.
I picked up my phone and glanced at the screen and decided what I would say to him. I cautiously began to type the text:
Me: Hi So what do you want to know exactly?
Thinking that I had made the right decision of what to say I just waited for a response. After 10 mins of waiting, I had to start dinner. So I left my phone on the charger in my room and went to the kitchen. Maybe he was busy or working somewhere at the moment. You know most kids work after school. But not me. Well time to start dinner. I began to prepare the chicken to put in the oven and get the vegetables down from the cabinet. I just needed to make the brownies after dinner for a bedtime snack. Hours had passed and I completely forgot about the message I had sent to him. I was so busy chasing after the twins my legs almost began to throb with pain. But finally I managed to get everything done with so all mom had to do was just come home and go to bed.
I relaxed on the couch and turned the television on. Charmed was on and I wasn't really interested in watching it so I made my way out back to smoke. Once I am out back I notice the gate is open and I know I didn't open that gate tonight. None of the others could reach the gate handle. So what is going on? I closed the gate and finished smoking. But something told me that things were not right. Only problem is I didn't know what. Taking a deep breath I went back inside to check the twins and the others. Everyone was fast asleep.
I went in my room and glanced at my phone. Oh my god!!! He text back. I was afraid to read it so it took me a minute to relax and breathe before I opened it.
Drake: Well I know this is weird but I want to know everything about you. I can't explain it but I am drawn to you like a vampire to blood or like a thorn to a rose. Please tell me anything that you want. The sky is the limit I want to know everything. How about we meet up tomorrow? By the old bus shop. I'll be there by 10 princess. See you then
I didn't know what to say back. My heart fluttered in surprise. Maybe I will just have to wait until tomorrow to see him and tell him. But what would I wear. OMG! My first hang out with him. It was Saturday anyways. Tomorrow is going to be awesome. I quickly close my eyes and fall asleep so tomorrow could come earlier.

Okay so when I read the message I really didn't know what to say the only thing I knew was I wanted to know everything about her and I didn't want no detail spared. She was the light at the end of my dark tunnel and the thought made me feel good inside. But maybe she only wanted me as a friend and that was it. I just couldn't let myself get discouraged. SO I sent her back the sweetest message I could. I asked her to hang out tomorrow and told her where she could meet me at. I even told her what time. Yeah I know what you all must be thinking. Demanding much. But no I don't think so. I think she can handle me.
When I woke up this morning, I rushed to get through my chores so I could get to the spot I told her to meet me at. I just couldn't wait my blood pressure was racing and all I wanted was to see her face. But I also need to be cool about it. I don't want her to think I am a little kid in a candy store and can't control myself. So I guess I should go take a shower and get cleaned up. See we live on a ranch and I tell you right now in the rush I was in I am sweaty. I need to make sure I am good for her. But like I said don't want to rush anything. I want to take it slow and easy. Friends first and then hopefully more than that. But for now friends will have to work.
