All through the day, Lillian couldn’t bring herself to focus on anything, Shane’s words kept repeating in her mind, how could he speak with such certainty, it was like he already knew that they had a daughter. But how could that be possible? She has never said something of that nature to him, and he had only met Shana once, that shouldn’t be enough reason to know that she might be his!
Something has to be done, she has to make sure that he doesn’t find out, it would have been easier telling him about their daughter like she had wanted to earlier, when she had been nursing the hope that they could be back together but not now, certainly not now that they both couldn’t stand each other. She will never let him win, she will never let him take her daughter away from her. Shana
