I look at myself in the mirror, my clothes strewn across my bed. "Damn Syd, you look hot!" I can't help but smirk, "Thanks Nash. You don't think it's too much for a lunch date?" Nash shrugs, "I don't think so. You're trying to get laid right?" I sigh, "Well I won't say no if he starts something but I don't think he's interested that way." "No way is any guy not interested in you unless he's gay. Is he?" I roll my eyes, "Course not." "Then he's not going to be able to resist you." I nod, kissing her cheek before grabbing my keys and heading towards the hotel. I pull up to the hotel and park my car before heading in to the lobby. 'I'm here but the lobby is crawling with paparazzi. What should I do?' 'Come back outside, I'll pick you up out there.' I head back outside, smiling when I see a nice car pull up. Johnny rolls the window down, "Hey Sydney, hop in." I jump in the car and he speeds off. "How'd you know they were down there?" "Cade. They mobbed him when he left for the gym earlier so I had a bit of a heads up. Sorry I didn't warn you." "It's fine. They have no way of knowing I was going there to meet you so I was invisible to them. You'll want to take the next left." He follows my directions and as he drives I watch him. He's a lot more handsome in the light of day and I can't help but wonder what's under his leather jacket. "So where to after this?" "Well we're on tour until the end of the month then we're on a break for a bit where we will probably record a new album. This week though we'll be going to Las Vegas. We've got a couple shows there and then we'll be going to Texas for about a week." "Wow. So where is it you record? I take it that's where you're all from?" He smiles, glancing at me before turning back to the road. "Well home is technically in Kentucky. We all grew up there but when we go to record it will be in New York." I can't help the chuckle that comes out, "So does that make you a cowboy?" He laughs, pushing his hair out of his face. "Believe it or not, I have only ever stepped on a farm a couple times and it didn't have anything to do with farming." I bust out laughing, "No? So you weren't sowing your wild oats?" I wiggle my eyebrows when he looks at me, unable to contain his own laughter. We get to the restaurant which is attached to a hotel in Koreatown. I climb out as he looks around, "Come on, I promise the burgers are worth it." I hold out my hand to him and he takes it, following me into the restaurant. "Sydney! Welcome back! Who's the guy?" I grin at the man who has known me since I was little. "Hey George. Back down, this is Johnny. He's here for a few days and I told him this was the best place for burgers." George pulls a cleaver out from nowhere and slams it blade-down on the counter, making Johnny jump. "That better be it. My blade is sharp and Sydney is family." I roll my eyes at George, pulling Johnny to a booth. "Ignore him. I've been coming here since I was a kid so he's like a father to me." When I see Johnny looking back at George and his knife I chuckle, grabbing his hand. "He's all bark, no bite. Promise. I just don't bring any guys here so he has to practice his intimidation somehow." That makes Johnny chuckle and I smile, squeezing his hand. "So no guys, huh? Does that mean I'm special?" I can't help but laugh, "You and I both know you are." He looks at me and I feel a blush creeping up my neck. How is it he's able to do that when I haven't blushed because of a guy in years?
