He gripped the door frame tightly, his gaze unwavering as he continued to fixate upon me. Slowly, he released his hold and began to saunter towards me with deliberate steps. Intrigued and anticipatory, I found myself following his every movement, observing each calculated stride as he closed the distance between us.
As he approached, our eyes reconnected, entangled once again in an inexplicable and intense stare. At this point, I expected him to break the silence, to utter the words that remained suspended in the palpable tension. Yet, to my surprise, he remained silent, the expression on his face inscrutable and impenetrable.
