By the time Kael and I got back to our room, I was so terrified of the silence we had on our way to our room.
He didn’t say a word on the walk back at all He just shoved his hands in his pockets and walked a step ahead of me. Every second of silence screamed louder than any accusation Marcus could’ve thrown.
When we got inside, Kael tossed his hoodie onto his chair, shut the door behind us, and leaned against it. His gaze pinned me daring me to move.
“Do you want to tell me what that was?” he asked, his voice was quiet but sharp.
