Deadly Captain Romance – Chapter 6 Rainy Hearts and Dangerous Shadows The cold night rain poured heavily across the dark forests outside Seattle. A large camping area near the mountains glowed softly under lantern lights while medical college students laughed around campfires. The weekend camping trip was supposed to help students relax after stressful exams. But for Hayato, danger never truly disappeared. Captain Hayato stood quietly near the trees, watching the surroundings carefully. Even with rain falling from the dark sky, his sharp eyes missed nothing. Especially not Rosey. She sat near the fire wearing a soft cream-colored hoodie, her wet hair falling beautifully around her shoulders. The orange firelight reflected in her eyes while she laughed with Kelly and Gery. Hayato couldn’t stop staring at her. Rosey suddenly looked up. Their eyes met instantly. Silence. The world around them almost disappeared. Kelly smirked quietly. “Again with the eye contact.” Rosey blushed softly. “Stop talking nonsense.” But before Kelly could tease more, a tall handsome man walked toward the camp carrying supplies. His name was Ray. New transfer student. Smart. Calm. Attractive. And dangerous in his own mysterious way. “Need help?” Ray asked Rosey with a charming smile. Rosey nodded politely. “Thank you.” Hayato’s expression instantly darkened. Ray noticed. “So you’re Captain Hayato,” Ray said calmly while extending his hand. “I’ve heard a lot about you.” Hayato stared at the hand before shaking it coldly. “Not interested.” Ray smiled slightly. “You seem protective.” “I am.” The tension between them became obvious immediately. Rosey sighed internally. “Great,” Kelly whispered to Gery. “Love triangle.” Later that night, thunder shook the mountains while students gathered inside large camping tents. Rainwater hit the fabric roofs softly. Rosey sat beside Hayato while checking medical supplies. “You’ve been quiet,” she whispered. Hayato looked at her seriously. “That guy Ray.” Rosey blinked. “What about him?” “I don’t trust him.” “You’re jealous.” Hayato leaned closer slowly. “Maybe.” Rosey’s heartbeat instantly became faster. The rain created a soft romantic sound around them while dim lantern light filled the tent. Hayato gently touched Rosey’s chin. “Look at me.” She slowly lifted her eyes. Again… That intense eye contact. Rosey could never escape the way Hayato looked at her like she was the only person in the world. “You’re beautiful,” he whispered. Rosey smiled shyly. “You always say that.” “Because it’s true.” Their faces moved closer. Closer. Then Hayato kissed her softly. Warm. Slow. Emotional. Rosey melted into the kiss immediately while the rainstorm continued outside. Hayato wrapped his arm around her waist carefully, pulling her closer against his chest. Rosey whispered breathlessly, “Someone might see…” “I don’t care.” He kissed her again, deeper this time. Rosey’s fingers tightened around his jacket while her heart raced wildly. Outside the tent, someone silently watched them through the rain. Ray. His expression slowly became darker. Far away inside an underground nightclub hidden beneath the city, loud music echoed through the criminal underworld. Blacky sat on a leather chair while smoking calmly. Beside him stood another dangerous man wearing black gloves. Max. The Underworld Don. Cold. Ruthless. Feared by everyone. Max smirked darkly. “So Captain Hayato is becoming weak because of a girl.” Blacky nodded slowly. “Rosey is his weakness.” A woman wearing a red dress stepped out from the shadows. Micky. Professional spy. Beautiful but deadly. “What’s the mission?” Micky asked smoothly. Blacky threw a photo of Rosey onto the table. “Watch her.” Micky smiled dangerously. “And if needed?” Max’s eyes became cold. “Destroy everyone around her.” The next morning, heavy fog covered the camping forest. Students prepared for mountain hiking activities while teachers explained safety rules. Rosey adjusted her backpack when Ray suddenly walked beside her. “You okay?” he asked softly. “I’m fine.” “You deserve better than someone dangerous.” Rosey stopped walking. “What?” Ray looked serious. “Hayato lives in violence. One day you’ll get hurt because of him.” Before Rosey could answer, Hayato suddenly appeared. “Back away from her.” The atmosphere instantly became tense again. Ray sighed. “You really don’t trust anyone.” “No,” Hayato replied coldly. “Especially people hiding secrets.” Ray’s eyes narrowed slightly. For one second, both men looked ready to fight. But suddenly— BANG! A distant explosion echoed through the forest. Students screamed in panic. Smoke rose from deeper inside the mountains. Hayato’s military instincts activated instantly. “Everyone stay calm!” A terrified student ran toward them crying. “There are armed men in the forest!” Rosey’s face turned pale. Hayato immediately grabbed her hand protectively. “Stay close to me.” Unknown masked attackers suddenly surrounded the camping area with guns. Micky stepped forward slowly while holding a pistol. “Hello, Captain.” Hayato’s eyes became deadly cold. “Micky.” Students panicked everywhere while teachers tried protecting them. One gunman grabbed a little girl near the hiking trail. Rosey gasped. “Hayato!” Without hesitation, Hayato charged forward. Gunshots exploded across the forest. BANG! BANG! Rain started pouring again while chaos spread through the camp. Hayato fought violently against multiple enemies, moving with terrifying speed. One attacker punched him— CRACK! Hayato slammed the man into a tree instantly. Another enemy aimed at Rosey. But before the trigger fired— BANG! Ray shot the attacker first. Everyone froze. Rosey stared at Ray in shock. “You… have a gun?” Ray lowered the weapon slowly. “I told you I had secrets.” Hayato glared at him carefully. “Who are you?” Before Ray could answer, more enemies rushed toward them. “Later,” Ray replied coldly. Together, Hayato and Ray fought side by side while protecting the students. Rain soaked their clothes completely while thunder shook the mountains. Rosey helped injured students under a medical tent, her hands shaking nervously. Then suddenly— A masked man grabbed her from behind. Rosey screamed. “Hayato!” The attacker dragged her deeper into the forest. Micky smirked. “Target captured.” Rosey struggled desperately. “Let me go!” But before Micky escaped— Hayato appeared like death itself. His eyes burned with rage. “You touched her.” Even Micky looked nervous. Gunfire erupted again. Hayato fought brutally through the rain while Rosey watched fearfully. Finally, Hayato punched the last attacker unconscious before pulling Rosey safely into his arms. “You okay?” he whispered urgently. Rosey nodded emotionally. Hayato held her face gently. “I thought I lost you.” Rosey’s eyes filled softly with emotion. “You won’t.” Rainwater dripped from their faces while they stood close beneath the storm. Then Rosey suddenly wrapped her arms around him tightly. “I was scared…” Hayato kissed her forehead carefully. “I’ll always protect you.” Ray silently watched them from nearby shadows. A strange sadness crossed his eyes. Kelly quietly whispered to Gery, “Yep… definitely love triangle.” That evening, after the students were rescued safely, the rain finally became softer. The surviving attackers escaped back into the city. But the danger was far from over. Near the lakeside camping area, Hayato and Rosey sat together under a small wooden shelter. Lantern lights reflected beautifully on the rainwater. Rosey rested her head against Hayato’s shoulder quietly. For the first time in days… Peace. Hayato looked at her softly. “Rosey.” “Hm?” “If one day things become too dangerous…” She looked up immediately. “Don’t say it.” Hayato gently held her hand. “I’m serious.” Rosey’s eyes became emotional. “I don’t care how dangerous your world is,” she whispered. “I’m not leaving you.” Hayato stared at her silently. Then slowly… He removed a silver chain from his pocket. Rosey blinked in surprise. “Hayato…?” He smiled softly for the first time that night. “Will you stay beside me?” Rosey’s heart nearly stopped. “Is that a proposal?” “Maybe.” Rosey laughed through her tears. “You’re terrible at romance.” “But your answer?” Rosey moved closer and kissed him gently beneath the rainy night. “Yes.” Far away on a dark rooftop in the city, Blacky watched photos sent by Micky. His expression became colder than ever. “Captain Hayato…” he muttered darkly. Max stood beside him silently. Blacky crushed a glass in his hand. “The next attack won’t fail.”
