Deadly Captain Romance Final Chapter — “The Last Promise” Rain poured heavily over the silent city. The streets were empty, covered in smoke and broken glass after the terrifying explosion that destroyed the Black Rose headquarters. Red and blue police lights flashed through the darkness while distant sirens cried endlessly in the cold night. Rosé stood alone near the ruined building. Her trembling hands were stained with blood. Not her blood. Hayato’s. Tears slowly rolled down her cheeks as she stared at the burning ruins in front of her. The fire reflected inside her broken eyes while the cold wind moved through her long black hair. “No…” she whispered weakly. “Hayato… please…” But there was no answer. Only silence. Two hours earlier… The Black Rose mafia had finally revealed their true plan — a hidden bomb powerful enough to destroy half the city. Thousands of innocent people would die if the countdown reached zero. Inside the underground control room, chaos exploded everywhere. Gunshots echoed endlessly. Agents screamed. Blood covered the floor. Hayato fought like a man with nothing left to lose. His black coat was torn, and blood dripped slowly from the wound near his shoulder, but his cold eyes never lost focus. Across the room stood the leader of Black Rose. Killey Shadow. The most dangerous criminal in the country. He smiled darkly while holding the detonator in his hand. “You’re too late, Captain,” Killey said calmly. “In ten minutes, this city becomes ashes.” Hayato pointed his gun directly at him. “It ends tonight.” Rosé stood behind Hayato, breathing heavily. She had finally learned the painful truth — Killey Shadow was the man who murdered her family years ago. The same man who manipulated her life from the shadows. Hatred burned inside her heart. Killey laughed softly. “You came for revenge?” he asked. “Or for love?” His eyes slowly moved toward Hayato. “You look at him the same way your mother looked at your father before I killed him.” Rosé froze. Pain struck deeply inside her chest. Hayato immediately grabbed her hand protectively. “Don’t listen to him.” But Killey continued smiling. “Love makes people weak.” Suddenly— BANG! Gunfire exploded through the room. Hayato quickly pushed Rosé aside as the bullet pierced through his side. “Hayato!” Rosé screamed. He fell to one knee but still kept his gun aimed forward. Killey slowly walked backward toward the bomb controls. “You can save the girl,” he said coldly, “or save the city.” The countdown appeared on the giant screen. 05:00 05:59 04:58 Time was disappearing. Hayato’s breathing became unstable. Rosé held him desperately while tears filled her eyes. “You’re bleeding too much…” Hayato looked at her quietly. For a moment, the chaos around them disappeared. Only the two of them existed. Then he gently touched her face. “Rosé,” he whispered softly, “if anything happens to me…” “No.” She shook her head immediately. “Don’t say that.” “You have to live.” “I said no!” Her voice broke completely. Hayato smiled weakly. It was the first warm smile he had shown in a long time. “Before I met you,” he said quietly, “I lived only for revenge and missions. I thought my heart was already dead.” Rosé cried silently while holding his hand tightly. “But you changed me.” The countdown continued. 03:47 03:46 03:45 Killey suddenly activated the final security lock. Only manual detonation shutdown remained possible. Which meant… Someone had to stay behind. Hayato understood instantly. Rosé understood too. “No…” she whispered. Hayato slowly stood up despite the pain. “Hayato, don’t…” He looked toward the control core beside the bomb system. “If nobody stays,” he said quietly, “everyone dies.” Rosé grabbed his coat desperately. “We can escape together! Please!” But Hayato gently removed her hands. His eyes were calm now. Almost peaceful. “You once asked me what my biggest fear was.” Rosé stared at him silently. Hayato smiled sadly. “It was losing you.” Tears fell endlessly from her eyes. “I hate you…” she whispered painfully. “I hate you for saying goodbye like this…” Hayato stepped closer and placed his forehead against hers. “I love you.” Her heart shattered completely. Outside, helicopters circled above the city while police evacuated civilians. Inside the underground room, death waited silently. Killey Shadow suddenly tried escaping through the emergency tunnel. Hayato immediately raised his gun. BANG! The bullet pierced directly through Killey’s chest. The mafia leader collapsed onto the floor with shock frozen in his eyes. His empire finally ended. But the countdown continued. 02:01 02:00 Hayato turned toward Rosé again. “You need to leave.” “No!” “Rosé!” His voice echoed strongly for the first time. She froze. Hayato stepped closer one final time and kissed her gently. Slowly. Painfully. Like he wanted to stop time itself. When the kiss ended, Rosé could barely breathe. “I promised to protect you,” he whispered. “Even if it costs my life.” Before she could stop him, Hayato locked the emergency door between them. “HAYATO!” She hit the glass desperately while crying uncontrollably. “OPEN THE DOOR!” But Hayato simply smiled softly from the other side. For the first time, the cold captain looked truly human. Truly in love. “I’m sorry,” he mouthed silently. Then he turned away. Rosé screamed his name repeatedly while security forces dragged her toward the exit tunnel. The final countdown echoed across the underground chamber. 00:45 00:44 Hayato reached the bomb core and began shutting down the system manually. Electric sparks exploded around him. The room shook violently. Blood continued dripping from his wounds onto the floor. But he never stopped. Because somewhere above the city… Rosé was alive. And that was enough. 00:10 00:09 Hayato closed his eyes briefly. Memories flashed through his mind. The first time he met Rosé in the rain. Her smile. Her tears. Her voice calling his name. Then he whispered softly into the darkness— “Thank you… for loving someone like me.” 00:03 00:02 00:01 White light exploded across the underground chamber. The city shook violently. Then silence. Complete silence. Three months later… Spring arrived quietly. The city slowly recovered from the tragedy caused by Black Rose. Newspapers called Hayato a hero who sacrificed himself to save thousands of lives. But Rosé never visited the ceremonies. Never smiled during interviews. Never accepted the world moving forward. Because part of her heart remained buried inside that underground ruin. One evening, Rosé stood alone near the ocean cliffs outside the city. The sunset painted the sky orange and gold while the wind moved softly around her white dress. In her hands was Hayato’s old necklace. The only thing recovered after the explosion. Tears slowly filled her eyes again. “I still miss you,” she whispered. Suddenly— Footsteps approached behind her. Rosé froze. Her heartbeat stopped completely. The footsteps were slow. Familiar. A voice finally spoke quietly behind her. “You always cry too easily.” Her eyes widened instantly. That voice— Impossible. Slowly, Rosé turned around. And there he stood. Hayato. Alive. His black hair moved softly in the wind while scars covered part of his face. He looked thinner, weaker… but alive. Rosé stared at him in complete shock. The world around her disappeared. “H-Hayato…?” He smiled gently. “I told you,” he whispered, “I’d return to you.” Before he could say another word, Rosé ran into his arms crying uncontrollably. Hayato held her tightly as the sun disappeared beyond the ocean. For the first time after years of darkness, pain, blood, and loss… They finally found peace together. And somewhere far away, beyond the fading sunset, the shadows of the past slowly disappeared forever. THE END ✨
