Deadly Captain Romance – Chapter 9 Shadow Hunter Awakens To Be Continued… Nine months later… Soft rain fell across the peaceful streets of Washington while hospital lights glowed brightly in the middle of the night. Inside the delivery room, doctors and nurses rushed carefully around Rosey. “Breathe slowly!” the doctor encouraged. Rosey held Hayato’s hand tightly while tears filled her eyes. “It hurts…” Hayato kissed her forehead gently. “You’re doing amazing.” For the first time in years, the cold captain looked completely nervous. Thunder echoed softly outside while rain touched the hospital windows. Then suddenly— A baby’s cry filled the room. Silence. The doctor smiled warmly. “Congratulations. It’s a boy.” Hayato froze completely. Rosey cried happily while holding their newborn son carefully. The tiny baby slowly wrapped his hand around Hayato’s finger. Something inside the dangerous captain melted instantly. “He’s beautiful…” Hayato whispered softly. Rosey smiled weakly. “He has your eyes.” Hayato gently kissed Rosey’s forehead again. “Thank you.” For that moment… No missions. No guns. No enemies. Only family. Only love. Weeks later… Life became peaceful. Their home near the quiet riverside felt warm and alive with laughter. Hayato carried the baby carefully while Rosey laughed nearby. “You’re holding him like a bomb.” Hayato frowned seriously. “He’s fragile.” Rosey smiled softly. The dangerous captain who once fought wars now woke up at midnight to check baby blankets. Kelly and Gery visited often, bringing gifts and causing chaos everywhere. “Awww,” Kelly squealed while holding the baby. “He’s adorable!” Gery grinned proudly. “Future army commander.” Hayato instantly replied, “No.” Everyone laughed. For once… Happiness felt real. But peace never lasted forever. One stormy evening, rain poured heavily across the city while Hayato stood on the balcony holding his sleeping son. Lightning flashed across the dark sky. Rosey quietly walked beside him and rested her head against his shoulder. “You’re thinking too much again.” Hayato sighed softly. “Something feels wrong.” Before Rosey could answer— RING. Hayato’s military communicator activated. His expression instantly changed. Commander Victor appeared on the small screen. “Captain Hayato. Emergency meeting. Immediately.” Hayato’s eyes narrowed. “What happened?” The commander’s voice became serious. “Shadow Hunter is active again.” Silence. Even the rain outside suddenly felt colder. Rosey looked confused. “Shadow Hunter?” Hayato slowly clenched his fist. “A criminal organization even more dangerous than Max’s empire.” Commander Victor continued: “We received reports from northern mountain borders. Smuggling, assassinations, political corruption… and entire villages disappearing.” Hayato’s expression darkened completely. “And there’s more.” A photo appeared on screen. Rosey gasped softly. Killy. Alive. Wearing black tactical clothing with cold silver eyes. Commander Victor spoke carefully. “Killy is now working as Shadow Hunter’s right hand.” Far away inside a hidden underground fortress beneath snowy mountains… Killy stood silently beside a massive throne-like chair. Dark candles illuminated the room. A mysterious man sat hidden in shadows. The real Underworld Don. Leader of Shadow Hunter. His identity remained unknown. Killy lowered her head respectfully. “Hayato has returned to normal life.” The man chuckled darkly. “That peace won’t last long.” Suddenly footsteps echoed through the room. A woman entered wearing a dark red coat. Her eyes glowed blood-red. Beautiful. Terrifying. Sandy. New assassin. New nightmare. Sandy smiled dangerously. “So Captain Hayato finally has a family.” Killy’s eyes became colder. “Yes.” Sandy slowly pulled out a knife. “Then let’s destroy his happiness.” The next morning… Military headquarters buzzed with tension. Army commanders, intelligence officers, and political leaders filled the conference hall. Rain hammered against the massive windows. Hayato entered wearing his captain uniform once again. Everyone immediately became silent. Commander Victor pointed toward a digital map. “Shadow Hunter controls smuggling routes across the northern mountains.” Photos appeared showing armed gangs, destroyed villages, and hidden camps. Gery suddenly entered carrying intelligence files. “We confirmed political involvement too.” One politician secretly supported Shadow Hunter for money and power. Hayato’s expression hardened. “So corruption reached the government.” Commander Victor nodded grimly. “And Killy is recruiting ex-soldiers.” Rosey watched quietly from the doorway, worry slowly filling her heart. She remembered every dangerous mission. Every goodbye. Every moment she almost lost Hayato forever. After the meeting ended, Hayato stood alone near the hallway window while rain continued outside. Rosey walked toward him slowly. “You’re leaving again.” Hayato remained silent. That silence hurt more than words. Rosey looked down sadly. “How long?” “I don’t know.” Her eyes filled with emotion. Their peaceful family life was breaking apart already. Hayato gently touched her face. “Rose…” “What if you don’t come back this time?” Hayato immediately pulled her into his arms tightly. “I always come back.” Rosey closed her eyes painfully. “But every mission takes another piece of you away.” For several moments, only rain filled the silence between them. Then Hayato softly kissed her forehead. “I’m doing this so our son grows up in a safer world.” Rosey finally nodded weakly. But deep inside… Fear remained. That night… Rainstorms covered the city again. Their baby slept peacefully upstairs while Rosey quietly packed Hayato’s military gear. The atmosphere felt heavy. Painful. Hayato entered the room silently. Rosey avoided eye contact. “I hate mission nights.” Hayato slowly walked toward her. Then gently lifted her chin. “Look at me.” Her eyes shimmered with sadness. Hayato kissed her softly. Slowly. Lovingly. Like he wanted to memorize every second. Rosey wrapped her arms around his neck while tears rolled down softly. “Promise me you’ll survive.” “I promise.” He rested his forehead against hers. “My wife worries too much.” Rosey laughed weakly through tears. “My husband attracts danger too much.” They kissed again while thunder echoed outside. Warm. Painful. Beautiful. Meanwhile… Deep inside the northern mountains… Shadow Hunter prepared for war. Armed gangs moved through hidden caves while illegal weapons filled underground tunnels. Sandy walked calmly through the camp, her red eyes glowing under lantern lights. One criminal stepped too close carelessly. Without hesitation— CRACK. She snapped his neck instantly. The entire gang became silent in fear. Killy approached slowly. “You enjoy killing too much.” Sandy smiled coldly. “And you enjoy spying too much.” Suddenly alarms activated throughout the mountain fortress. A soldier rushed forward nervously. “Captain Hayato’s army unit has crossed the border.” The mysterious Underworld Don slowly stood from the shadows for the first time. Tall. Terrifying. Covered in scars. “Prepare the mountain traps,” he ordered calmly. His eyes darkened dangerously. “Let the captain enter hell.” Two days later… Hayato’s military convoy traveled through dangerous snowy mountain roads. Rain mixed with cold fog while helicopters flew overhead. Gery checked satellite maps nervously. “Movement detected ahead.” Sumi loaded her sniper rifle carefully. “This place feels cursed.” Hayato stared silently toward the dark mountains ahead. Somewhere inside those shadows… Killy was waiting. And someone even worse. Suddenly— BOOM! An explosion destroyed the front vehicle instantly. Soldiers screamed. Gunfire erupted from the cliffs above. “AMBUSH!” Hayato immediately pulled injured soldiers to safety while bullets rained through the storm. The mountain mission had begun. And far away at home… Rosey stood near the rainy window holding their baby tightly. Her heart felt painfully uneasy. Like the storm itself was warning her. Meanwhile, hidden above the battlefield cliffs… Sandy watched Hayato through a sniper scope. Her blood-red eyes narrowed slowly. Then she smiled. “Interesting…” Thunder exploded across the mountains. And the true nightmare finally awakened. To Be Continued…
