Ryder's POV (Point of view)
When I opened my eyes the next morning, I expected Alex's body snuggled up against mine but to dismay, I found the spot next to me empty and cold. She has been up for a while. Normally I am awake before her. I raised my head and looked around the room to see if there is any sign of her. I pushed myself up when I didn't hear her. I got up from the bed and exit the bedroom.
I made my way down the staircase where I found the patio door pushed open. I smiled to myself when I realized where she was and how comfortable she was at my home. Last night was probably the best night of my life arriving home and finding her here.
