Siara's POV
“Let's check his room”, Lucinda suggested, and I agreed.
I walked mechanically to his room but found it empty. Then we decided to check Simone and Nicole's room.
“Oh my Moon Goddess!” I exclaimed when I entered the room.
Both girls were dismembered, and the parts were arranged on the floor and had some black liquid coming out of them.
“Black magic”, Lucinda explained, and I just gulped in fear.
“The vampires weren't alone last night, they came with the black witches” she said as she observed the liquid.
“It's a kind of ritual that requires the blood of different supernatural creatures” she explained after her observation.
“What is the ritual for?” I asked, curious as to why someone would do such a wicked thing.
“The ritual is used to generate a great power and this power can be involved in a person's body, making them so strong that it is impossible to kill him or her” she said, and I could tell she was also worried, as the witches' kingdom would be at risk of attacks by the dark witches.
“ You said dark witches, why are they called that?” I asked.
“They were normal witches, who did forbidden magic, they used women and children's blood for rituals and when caught, they were banished from Celesterra” she explained as we stepped out of the house.
“Do you think they took Noah?” I asked anxiously.
“That is a possibility” she replied while caressing my back to comfort me.
“I will take us back to Laxmi’s house” she said, while bringing out her wand and holding my hand.
I looked back at the house where I spent the last five years of my life with deep sorrow before nodding to Lucinda to teleport us back.
“Siara!”
A familiar voice yelled my name from the house opposite. I turned and ran over without happiness.
“Noah” I called out when I saw him running towards me too. I gave him a tight, bone-crushing hug.
“I am so glad you are okay. I was so worried”, I said emotionally while still hugging him.
“ I was so scared when I went home” he said with a hoarse voice. I can't imagine his pain when he saw his parents and sisters dead in such a brutal way.
I released him from the hug and looked at his face. His eyes were swollen, which showed that he had been crying.
“Everything is going to be OK” I said while stroking his back softly.
“Where were you during the attack?” Lucinda asked him, and I was also curious as to why he wasn't hurt.
“ We were supposed to move out of the village today, so I told my mom that I wanted to have a sleepover at my friend's house and she agreed. I was there when the vampires attacked and his dad hid us in the basement”, he explained, and I nodded gratefully to the man.
“Let's go back now“ Lucinda said, and Noah said farewell to his friend and held my hand.
Lucinda teleports us back to Laxm’s house. Aunt Sriti welcomed Noah warmly and looked at him sympathetically.
“Everything will be fine dear” She said, and pulled him into her arms.
“I will go home to check if my parents are back” Lucinda said and, teleported away.

Axel's POV
The journey to Moonshire is very long. We have to pass through Drakestone and Celesterra before we get there.
“ If we are fast enough, we should be able to rest in one of the villages in Drakestone for the night” I announced to the twelve Pack warriors accompanying me.
After a few hours, we got to the boundary between Darkwood and Drakestone. After a little while, we entered one of the centaurs' villages.
“ It's unusually quiet” said one of the men.
“The last time I was here, it was so busy that I had to squeeze through the crowd of Centaurs” another said.
They weren't wrong though. It is very hard to see a centaur's village so quiet.
“Stay on alert and be vigilant” I commanded.
“Yes sir!” they replied in unison.
A few minutes later, we heard fast movements coming our way, like a group of centaurs. The steps of centaurs are easy to differentiate from others, as they have hooves instead of feet.
“Take cover!” I commanded as soon as I saw what was coming.
Five centaurs were running towards us, but they didn't seem alright from my observation. Centaurs only charge at someone when they want to attack, and they charged at us and their eyes glow red, which is also not normal.
“Attack!” I yelled out to the warriors, and we all shifted, ready to fight.
Centaurs are actually very easy to fight as one just has to be careful not to get kicked on the head with their legs.
“ Am I the only one that thinks something is wrong with them?” One of the warriors yelled his questions.
“What do you think is wrong with them?” I yelled back.
“I noticed that they were not attacking me, they seemed to be moving away from me” he replied, and I shifted back to my human form to observe, and it was indeed true.
“What do you think is repelling them?” I asked with a hint of curiosity.
“Well, my wife's grandmother is a witch, and she prepared a protective charm for my wife when she was pregnant. My wife gave it to me when I was leaving this morning”, he explained, while showing me the amulet he was wearing around his neck.
I turned and observed the centaurs one more time and noticed that they were all wearing black amulets on their left hind legs.
“Focus on the hind leg, rip off the amulet!” I commanded and shifted back to my wolf form.
“Sir, we have got one”, one of the warriors reported.
I noticed that the centaur, whose amulet was removed, fell to the ground and was convulsing.
The others were a little distracted and this was just the opportunity we needed to remove theirs too.
We watched as they convulsed for a few minutes, before they stopped and got off the ground.
“Thank you” said the one whose amulet was removed first.
I looked at him closely and noticed his eyes had also returned to normal.
“What happened to your village” I asked him, wanting to know the details of possible threats we might face on this journey.
“Everything was fine until last night, when the dark witches suddenly attacked our village. They put restraining spells on men and women when we came out of our houses. We could only watch helplessly as they carried out their evil agenda” he said while shaking his head sorrowfully.
“What did they do?” I asked, but the man seemed to be grieving, so I turned to the others.
“ The dark witches made a ritual ground at the village center and then they…they” he stuttered and had a dreadful look on his face.
“What did they do?” I asked once again.
“They took the three pregnant women from the village, cut them open and burned the babies while chanting incantations” he said, and ran to the nearby bushes and threw up.
I even have to admit that the dark witches were the most wicked entities in the supernatural world.
“What of the other villagers?” I asked.
“They killed most of them and teleported the rest away” the first man explained.
“I am very sorry for your loss, please accept my condolences” I said to him and signaled my warriors to move over.
“ We will be passing through the capital city if you don't mind, I can take you to King Dineros, and maybe he can get you a place to stay over there”, I suggested to them, and they readily agreed.
No one will want to stay in such a tainted place anyway.
“Let's move!” I commanded.
We all set off for the capital city of Drakestone. When we got to the village center, we saw the dead bodies of centaurs that the witches burned beyond recognition.
Without wasting time, we got to the exit of the village and had to go along a bushy path to get to the next village before the capital.
“Grandma, I want to eat rice.”
“Grandma is not answering little Maya”
“Brother, little Maya is sad”
“Maybe she is just tired.”
“But I want rice.”
“Be good, Maya, and eat some nuts.”
“But I want Grandma's rice.”
“Lower your voices or are you trying to get us all killed?”
