When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a large hallway. The torches on the wall were the only source of light.
“Hurry, she is about to give birth.”
I heard hurried footsteps heading my way.
Before I could react and find a place to hide, I saw three women running towards me while looking around vigilantly.
“Let's hurry before anyone notices our absence,” the woman in front whispered.
I was thinking of what to say if they asked why I was here, but something shocking happened instead.
