Chapter Seven
Rain’s POV: She Belongs To Me:
Rains POV:
Rain had been thinking of Elle all day this mate bond was intense. He was really going to have to get a hold of himself. He had too much s**t to do. As he pulled his motorcycle onto pack lands he mind linked with his Beta and his other members of his Alpha counsel. Letting them all know he was back and that it was time to reach out to the covens tonight to discuss the attacks.
They needed to offer peace and protection especially if they were going to solve who was behind the attacks. Rain needed to pull out his most charming speech if he was going to be able to win the matriarch's approval. She was the witches leader. He really didn't understand the coven order but he'd respect it. Rain's mind wondered to the stories of his people and how they originally worked with the covens.
There was a time long ago when witches and wolves worked together, witches would sometimes even find themselves mated to wolves through a gift of the moon goddess. But, one of those matings went wrong long ago. A witch named Aster and an alpha from the blood moon pack had become fated mates. But, the witch was sterile and could not have any pups for the alpha.
Poor Aster had fallen madly in love with the alpha maybe some say a little too madly had devised a plan to give her beloved alpha pups after all. He spent his days wandering drunk and in depression after finally learning his one true fated love could not give him children, his line would die with him and his pack had begun to see him as weak. Packs only follow alphas who are strong and it's Luna's job to provide pups to continue to strengthen the pack after all. But, Astar could not offer any pups for the Alpha. One day Astar went to the road of luck and doom. It was rumored the fae lived their hidden. Astar cast a powerful spell to summon one fae, she stood there for one whole day and one whole night waiting for the fae to come and greet her, if you could successfully summon a fae they could grant you one wish. As Astar almost began to loose hope that her spell did not work a handsome fae man appeared out of the shadow's. Astar and the fae man made a deal, Astar would free him from his prison and the fae man would tell Astar where a magical tree was that held flower petals that could restore life in places life could not exsist. But, if she did not come back and free him he would send his fae family to destory both the covens and the wolves.
Sunddenly Rain's thoughts began to shift his memories invaded by Elle. Something seemed off, but he couldn't place it as his motorcylce moved up the road.
Rain needed to pull out his most charming speech if he was going to be able negotiate the covenants and potentially have Elle one day be seen as his Luna. His idea was if he could get the covens attention and earn favor maybe introducing Elle wouldn't be seen as such a big deal.
Rain what the f**k are you thinking? She doesn’t even know what she is to you yet? More importantly you don’t know what she is. Rain hadn’t forgotten that strange tarot reading he had gotten from her and how her voice had changed. Almost as if someone else was speaking. Rain wanted nothing more than to protect her, to mark her and make her his. But, timing was a b***h and he needed the wolves of his pack to accept her. But, most importantly when Elle learned about his past and what he was accused of would she accept him? That fear lived and flourished in his heart daily. His wolf woke trying to protect him and reassure him that Elle was their mate, their fated love, there would be no way she would turn him down. Rain spotted Erin come up to him first, the father of them all looking up at him with a grim look. Rain mind linked with him asking without saying, “What is it?” As the thought left Rain's mind Rain was hit with a wave of pain making his knees buckle unlike anything he had ever felt before. “Elle our mate! Our Mate is in trouble, must go find mate” he heard his wolf roar in his head.
“Rain! Alpha what's wrong?” The strong hands of Erin were on his shoulders in an instant. He could always count on the help of his boys. They had his back.
“Alpha there is something you should know.”
Through clenched teeth Rain looked up at Erin. “I told you not to call me that he spat out through the pain. When we are alone it’s Rain. You know me. The real me.”
A smile tugging on his lips Erin nodded his understanding. “Look it’s Elle there has been an attack on Elle. We need to get you going, I’ve assembled a team we are just waiting on you to say the words.”
Rage engulfed my body I needed her by my side and quickly,
