"Ken... babe, are you okay?" I asked nervously, my voice coming out higher than normal.
My heart was still racing from the panic of thinking he'd heard everything. Every dirty detail about Dylan's mouth on me, his fingers inside me, the way I'd moaned his name.
But Kenzie's face didn't look angry or hurt in that devastating way it would if he knew I'd cheated. He just looked frustrated.
"You came back from the Maldives yesterday, babe. I've been missing you and I understand you were tired but you didn't even call last night." He ran his hand through his hair, that gesture he did when he was stressed or upset. My heart broke a little watching him. "You didn't even come to look for me when you got to school!"
