“...!”
Lilith stares at Erica, her mouth open slightly as her ears turn hot for the awkward misunderstanding.
Her look got a chuckle out of Erica.
In hindsight, Erica’s voice had been a little androgynous -- not the rough, coarse tone of a man their age.
“I-I’m sorry...” Lilith says hesitantly, still not 100% sure.
Erica’s face is just too misleading.
“It’s okay, I’m used to it,” Erica grins at Lilith. “Usually I just introduce myself as Eric when I meet people -- you see the reason, right? I think my dad named me Erica for the same reason. He was planning ahead for the convenience.” Erica chatters like a little machine gun. “It’s not my fault -- this face was never meant to look like a girl’s. But what girl would not want to look good, right? That’s why I was so into make-up.”
