SERENA'S POV
There I was, standing alone with Kaden in an empty house.
I had failed to sabotage my Mom's wedding and everything went on quite smoothly. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but for my mother's happiness, I put my own feelings aside. She looked so beautiful, so radiant and at peace and I wouldn't stand in the way of that.
She deserved to be happy even though I had no hopes of finding that kind of happiness anytime soon.
