Meanwhile, in the Louise household...
"Kevin! Why didn't you show up to the blind date?! Your mother went through so much trouble finding that beautiful girl! She's the daughter of—"
Click.
Before Mr. Louise could even finish his sentence, Kevin had already ended the call.
"Ughhh, how annoying," Kevin muttered to himself, tossing the phone aside as he leaned back in his leather office chair. On the polished surface of the desk, a nameplate glinted under the office lights: Mr. CEO Kevin Louise.
A knock sounded on his office door.
"Come in," Kevin called out lazily.
It was Ian, his long-time driver.
"Iannnn! Haha, what's up?" Kevin grinned, rising from his chair and motioning Ian to sit on the leather sofa in his office.
Ian took a seat. "Kevin, we've known each other since childhood. I've been your personal driver for years. But I think it's time you listened to your parents."
Kevin exhaled slowly, his smirk faltering.
"Ugh, enough of that. Let's go to CyberCity Club tonight! Hahaha!"
Ian simply nodded, resigned to his boss's wild whims.

Buzz buzz buzz.
Celine's phone vibrated on the pillow beside her. She groaned, sitting up sleepily. The screen showed: 12 missed calls from Lisa and 2 text messages. The clock displayed 9:57 PM.
Lisa: Celine! Come with me to Galaxy Club again.
Lisa: Damn that Isaac! He cheated on me!
Celine tapped on the voice message icon. "Calm down, Lisa. I'll come get you in 30 minutes. Get ready."
Still dressed in her interview clothes, Celine rolled out of bed and crept out of the house quietly, careful not to wake her parents. She drove to Lisa's apartment.
"Celineeeee! Let's go!" Lisa shouted the moment she appeared. Her voice echoed across the lot.
"Which club are we going to?" Celine asked nervously, still unsure.
"Ehhh, we're heading to the newest spot — CyberCity Club!" Lisa replied excitedly.
CyberCity was known for being exclusive, catering to the rich and elite, with strict privacy rules. The girls arrived and were immediately struck by the glamor — expensive outfits, luxury cars, and dazzling lights. The beat of the music pulsed in the air.
Inside, Lisa dragged Celine toward the dance floor. "Celine! Come on! Be brave tonight!"
Upstairs, in the VIP lounge, Kevin held a glass of whiskey in hand, watching the crowd below with an amused smirk.
Later, exhausted, Celine slipped into an empty VIP booth to rest while Lisa continued dancing — visibly drunk. Seeing her friend wobble on the dance floor, Celine decided to call it a night. She dragged Lisa back to the car and drove her home.
But once alone in the car, Celine suddenly gasped.
"Oh no… My handbag!" she whispered in horror.
She hurried back to the club and returned to the VIP booth where she had been resting. To her shock, a group of teenagers had taken over the area.
Her eyes locked onto her bag — it was unmistakably hers, complete with a panda keychain — now clutched by a smug-looking girl.
"That's my bag," Celine said firmly.
The girl snorted. "No, it's mine."
"That panda keychain belongs to me! Please give it back."
But before she could reclaim it, a guy — the girl's boyfriend — shoved Celine back.
Determined, Celine stepped forward again. As she reached out, the boy lifted a glass bottle threateningly.
Just then, Kevin, descending from the upper floor, noticed the commotion. He moved fast.
"Hey! What's going on here?" he barked, stepping between Celine and the bottle.
Celine froze as Kevin's arm wrapped protectively around her waist. The contact made her stiffen — who was this man?
Kevin, equally surprised by the feel of her slender waist under his touch, tried to ignore the heat crawling up his neck.
"Who are you?!" the teenage boy shouted.
Kevin's eyes narrowed. "You're just a brat causing trouble in a place you don't belong."
"Tch! You think you're better than us?!"
Kevin didn't flinch. With a swift move, he grabbed the bottle and threw a punch. The boy stumbled back, face bloodied.
"Stop it!! Babe!!" the girl screamed.
She glared daggers at Celine, then hurled the bag at her face. "Stupid girl! Take your trash and leave! Come on, babe, let's get out of here!"
The group stormed off.
Celine looked up, stunned. Kevin's knuckles were scraped and his lip bleeding slightly.
"Oh my god… I'm so sorry. Are you okay?! Let me get you something from my car. I have a first aid kit," she said quickly, pulling his hand.
Kevin let her. Moments later, they stood in the parking lot as she tended to his wounds.
"I… I don't know you, but thank you for helping me," she said softly, dabbing his hand with a tissue.
Kevin stared at her — her gentle eyes, her worried frown, the way her fingers trembled.
Liu Celine… you've gotten even more beautiful, he thought.
Long ago, they had attended the same high school — Lamburgh Secondary.
"Ehem… I'm injured. Shouldn't you take responsibility for that?" Kevin teased.
Celine blinked. "Take… responsibility? Uh— I'll pay for your treatment! That's fair, right?"
Kevin chuckled, amused by her innocence. He leaned closer, placing both hands on her waist, smirking.
"What are you doing?! Are you crazy?!" Celine snapped, pushing him away.
But Kevin didn't stop — until he saw her eyes glisten with tears.
He exhaled slowly. "Thank you," he said, stepping back.
Without a word, Celine got into her car and drove off.
At the same time, Ian, who had been searching for Kevin, found him alone in the parking lot.
"Kevin," Ian called out.
Kevin turned to him, face calm again. "Let's go home."
Together, they left the club.
A night that started with chaos ended with a strange new spark neither of them could quite explain.
Celine finally arrived home at 2:56 a.m., exhausted and flustered. She quickly slipped inside the house, tiptoeing past the living room and up the stairs, hoping not to wake anyone. Once inside her room, she didn't waste a second — she dashed straight to her private bathroom.
Her heart was pounding like a drum.
That… was the first time a man has ever touched me… even if it was just my waist!
She stood in front of the mirror, staring at her reflection. Her cheeks were still slightly flushed, and she could feel the ghost of Kevin's hands on her sides.
"Celineee… oh my god, get a grip," she muttered to herself under her breath, gripping the sink tightly. "It was nothing. Just an accident. Don't overthink it…"
Still trembling slightly, she turned on the water and stepped into the shower. The cold droplets helped calm her nerves. After a few minutes, she wrapped herself in a towel and jumped into bed, burying herself under the covers.
Out of all people… why did he help me? Why was he even there?
With a million questions running through her mind, Celine slowly drifted off to sleep.

Meanwhile, at the Louise mansion…
"Kevin! You never change, do you?!" his mother yelled from the living room the moment Kevin stepped inside.
She was still wide awake, pacing furiously in her silk robe.
"Ma… I swear, this is the last time," Kevin replied lazily, kicking off his shoes.
Before he could escape to his room, his father stood up abruptly and—SLAP!—delivered a hard smack across Kevin's cheek.
"You're coming with us the day after tomorrow," his father declared sternly. "To meet your arranged bride. This is serious. She's the only daughter of the Liu family!"
Kevin froze for a second. Liu? That name sounded familiar.
But then, his stunned expression turned into a bright, amused smile.
"Sure! I'll go!" he answered cheerfully and ran up the stairs before they could say anything more.
In his room, he closed the door, leaned back against it, and whispered to himself, eyes glinting with excitement:
"Liu… Could it be her? Please… let it be her."
