Chapter 10

1007 Words
Elizabeth sat in the room that she shared with Alec. She sat on the bed and had her arms wrapped protectively wrapped around her stomach. She stared up at the ceiling, her mind wondering about what would happen to this child. Alec refused to tell Elizabeth anything about his childhood. So Elizabeth was worried about what would happen to this child. She wanted to raise the baby properly; however, she also wanted it to be loved. Elizabeth could never give her child up, and even the thought of being separated was something that Elizabeth was not willing to face. For years Elizabeth was looking forward to creating her own family. If anyone tried to separate her from the baby, Elizabeth wasn't sure what she would do. " Don't worry my baby; there won't be anything that I won't do for you. You may not be born yet. However, I will protect you with my life if I can help it. Just like no one can separate my and your father, now no one will be able to separate you from me." Elizabeth promised the small life that probably couldn't hear her. Alec had sneaked into the room without Elizabeth noticing him. He leaned back against the wall next to the door. Alec was about to call out to her when she began to speak to no one in particular. He listened as she promised that no one would be able to take the baby away from her. "Elizabeth," Alec called out softly. Elizabeth jumped and then turned around slowly, keeping her arm tucked around her stomach. Alec slowly walked into the room and kneeled in front of Elizabeth. "Now I wouldn't consider this unless it was the right thing to do. I don't want to uproot you. However, it might be better if we return to Europe, where I grew up. There is more protection there, and both of us can begin our actual training from my parents. I would feel a lot safer if we returned to my childhood home." Alec said, gently pulling her hands away from her stomach and holding onto both of her hands. "Alec if you think it was safer why didn't you decide on your own? You have done that before, so I don't understand why you are trying to be considerate now." Elizabeth said. "Are you mad at me, angel?" Alec asked. "I feel horrible because you do not tell me anything about your childhood. I'm worried that this child will be just like yours I want to avoid that I want to raise the baby in a house full of love, how can I do that without knowing anything about you?" She asked tears slowly filling her eyes. She tried to blink the years away. However, they just continued to fill her eyes. Alec looked at her in shock; however, the shocked look was quickly replaced by an examination of tenderness and slowly, reached his hand up and started to wipe the tears away. "Angel I did not realize that you felt this way about me. If I would have known, then I would have told you anything. Angel, my childhood was not one of the best parts of my life. My parents did not love me; just saw me as an heir. They stayed separated for the majority of my childhood. Others raised me and given so much formal training that I dreaded my childhood. As soon as I was free when I hit 100 years old, I left my house and never looked back. I abandoned my duties and lives like a rogue, or like every other male. I enjoyed this life, women every night enjoying bars, and no one telling me what to do. I enjoyed life." Alec said slowly standing and sitting on the bed Elizabeth looked at him and said. "It is my job to learn everything about you. You are my mate, and the father to the child in my womb. How could I not wish to learn every little thing about you?" Elizabeth asked as she looked Alec in the eyes. Alec smiled and carefully pulled her into a hug. "Angel no matter what my past is my past. Right now, the only thing that matters to me is the future. You and this child...." Alec said, resting his hand gently on her stomach, "Are my whole future. I will love you both til the end of the world, or until we die. As long as I am living, you and any of our offspring will be my main priority." Alec promised her as he looked into her eyes. Elizabeth smiled and looked back at Alec. "The fact that I am now having my own family I love the future that is coming. Being loved by you and now having a baby with you, is something amazing." Elizabeth said as she rested her head on his shoulder. Alec began to stroke her head, and soon without realizing it, Elizabeth fell asleep on Alec's shoulder. Alec smiled as Elizabeth fell asleep. He quit stroking her head and gently laid her back onto the bed. He laid down next to her and gently pulled her into an embrace. "No matter what I will protect you." He whispered gently holding her between his arms. He quickly fell asleep with Elizabeth remaining where she was. Sophia was waiting for the right moment to strike. She would kill Elizabeth, and before Alec could be allowed to so what every male would do if he lost his mate. Sophia would mark him tricking Alec into thinking his mate is still alive and therefore stay alive. After all, if Sophia could not have the title that she was born to be in, then, no other woman would have Alec. "Don't worry, Alec, my love, soon we will be together forever, and that little hussy won't be able to separate us any longer. At long last, we will be together forever." Sophia promised as she looked up at the moon.
