A letter to my fans

241 Words
The life of a superstar is determined by their gender. If she's a woman, she has up to thirty years before her lights flicker and extinguish. If she's lucky like Madonna, she will make it to the top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100 by the time she's sixty. If he's a man, he will endure many drug interrogations and make twenty children from different women by the age of seventy. I am writing this to you to give you an insight into the life of a superstar. A female superstar, to be precise. We come in different shapes, sizes, and vocal pitches, but I tell you... this whole story is true. While we might be living the dream in Bev Hills, let it be known that a naive woman from the sticks is choosing between a one-night stand with a low-life agent and a one-hit-wonder song right now. Support them; they have gone through so much s**t already. Me? I don't want any of that path. I just want to succeed every step of the way until the day I retire. But given the blueprints of this industry, I think the system won't be too kind. So to my dear Apples, always pray for me. You might not believe in a god, but I gotta tell ya, the industry is run by devils. I can only hope that one day I can win against them. XOXO, Evelyn Marie Hoffman Fox
