“You should stay here,” the bartender said suddenly. “What do you mean?” “I will open after an hour or so. You should be here. I have customers who will notice it, even ask who did it. You should be here for it.” The bartender's voice was sliding from the coldness to his friendliness, which he usually expressed during the night. I wasn't sure if that was because of me or something else, but I was imagining and hoping that the reason was I. I went to sit down on my spot and search in my head for a bit of satisfaction.
