Xavier and Jane have everything packed up and in the car before Dominic and I are finished with breakfast.
I opt for the front seat this time letting Dominic work with Xavier in the backseat while Jane drives us back to the airport.
Dominic’s private plane takes off without a hitch. We sit across from each other, working, and playing footy under the table while also making eyes at each other. By the time we descend the flight, we’re both laughing and grinning like idiots.
Stepping off the plane to a field of photographers, “How was the honeymoon?”
“Will Central City be seeing a little one on the way soon?”
“Crane, how are you responding to the aliigations that your marriage is a coverup for your involvement in your father’s death during this last purge?”
