~ Chloe ~ Cole was silent as we got in, but I knew he had questions to ask. Of course he did. I mean, after the scene that just unfolded, anyone was bound to have questions if they were in his shoes. But at the moment, I wasn't in the mood to answer any. The day had been really long. Which was why I tossed my heels, replacing them with dog slippers I'd met laying on the floor. “So… what were you doing out there with Dale?” He finally asked, though cautiously like he knew not to thread too deep as I would likely not offer any answer. “Nothing of any importance.” I simply replied, releasing my hair from the pinned bun, then packing it in a messy one. “It didn't seem that way.” He took a seat on a cushion. “You both looked like you were having some serious conversation that I broke.”
