I choked on my saliva and stared at him. I opened my mouth to say something but realized that he never gave me permission to speak. So, instead, I averted my eyes from his and stared at the ground in shame.
I heard him sigh and stand back up again. "Are you waiting for permission?" He asked. I nodded but didn't look up to meet his eyes. He groaned and reached down again to grab my face. He forcefully turned my face so that I was looking at him.
He leaned closer to where our lips could feel each of the breaths we let out before standing up and letting go entirely. He let out a tired sigh and grumbled something over his breath before looking at me again.
"Speak." He commanded, and I took a breath. His voice was laced with an emotion I was all too familiar with and another that is still troublesome to this day. Anger and joy.
I wanted to ask him about it but remembered the situation I was in and decided it would be best not to anger him so soon. I instead asked another question. "How long have you known?" He seemed confused for a moment, but it was replaced with a small smirk. "About stalking me? For about the five months you've been doing it. " He chuckled, and he leaned back down and gave me a strange smile. Like he was mocking me.
"Honestly, did you truly think I would have noticed you. I could practically feel the jealousy from you every time you watched me through my window. Not to mention how loud you were when trying to follow me home." Now he was laughing, and after I took in his words, I started laughing too. It was honestly such a ridiculous situation.
After I finally stopped laughing, I decided to ask another question. "So what are you gonna do with me now that you've caught me? You can't turn me in because I have already seen your secret basement." He stopped laughing and stared at me with an amused expression. "I admit I haven't thought about that yet. However, I'm glad you made the decision easier for me." He smirked and walked behind me again. I tried to turn my head, but he turned it back and let out a small chuckle. "Now, now darling. Be a good girl and look straight for me."
