TWENTY-TWO Sassi had been staying at Karen’s for three days. Stuart was still going on about her talking to Swain about his illegal plan. Sticking to her guns, Sassi didn’t doubt for a second that she was doing the right thing by refusing. Karen was at work and Stuart was out trying to find some while Sassi stayed in the apartment to bake. She’d gone around the coffeehouses and restaurants in the area trying her best to regain some ground with her business.
