I widen my eyes slowly. Realization finally sinks in. As I lay down on the soft bed with my legs held up so Cynric would clean me up, I can't help but ponder. Was that the reason why he's been smiling since? Knowing it will be our last time? If anything, he SHOULDN'T be smiling, isn't it? "Cynric...you realize something, don't you?" I ask in a soft voice. To which he replies with his smile finally starting to fade. The icy spark in his blue eyes seems to dust down. They look down at my body and don't meet my eyes, which I find weird and...unsettling. "I do. This is our last time meeting up," He mentions. "Why have you been smiling?" I probe once again. He looks into my eyes, diving deep down to see if I'm asking sincerely. The joke's on him; I was never serious or genuine about Cynric
