I walked upstairs to my beloved family. My son Chresanto my wife Tanya.
"Hi Honey, dinner is ready come eat !"
"Smells good in here Tanya what's the occasion ?"
"I just need to have a conversation with you. Chres is going to a friends house so we can .... Talk."
"Okay ?" I wonder what Tanya wants to talk about. She never cooks a meal like this just for me. Especially without Chres present.
"Honey, why have you been so distant lately ?"
"I don't know what you mean ?"
CRAP ! I answered alittle to quickly.
"I think you do. What's so special that's in that basement ?"
"Nothing Tanya ... Can you just drop it ?"
"NO ! Tell me what's in the basement !"
"TANYA DROP IT ! I DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU ANYTHING !"
"So there IS something that should be told huh ?"
".... no"
"I'm done with you. I think we should take a break. I'm going to my mom's house for a while. CALL ME WHEN YOU GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!!"
She walked straight out of the house ... without looking back ! I was crushed, but there was only one person to blame ... Jasmine ! I walked into the basement to see Jasmine sleeping on the floor. She looked so unhealthy and miserable. I loved it. I caused all of her pain and I was happy to take credit for it. I was just about to kick Jasmine awake when I heard the door open.
"Dad ? Where are you ?"
"I'll be right up Chres !"
She was so lucky I had to retreat to my son, or she would have gotten the beat down of the century.

My kidnapper started walking away ? I was so shocked ! He never gave up an opportunity to abuse me. Maybe he was becoming more civilized. WHAT AM I THINKING ? HE COULD NEVER CHANGE HE WAS EVIL, HE WAS SINISTER HE WAS ...... STUPID. While I was ranting to myself I noticed that he left the basement door cracked. Maybe this is my is my opportunity to escape ... or was it ? Maybe he left it open to see if I had the nerve to even think of escaping. Do I have the nerve ? No .... no I don't. But is it worth a try ? Yes ...... It surely is.
