He said nothing, so I kept going.
"If it's because of those three days in Moonhollow, don't. It was just a game. Whatever happened, happened willingly, and I have no regrets and no plans to make your life difficult because of it. I pushed you into that choice. You don't owe me guilt or compensation."
I met his eyes. The streetlight was steady now, and I could see his face clearly, that particular stillness he carried when he was taking in information he hadn't expected and wasn't ready to answer yet.
