New Routines

Its been a year since the attack and the loss of my family bit in haven't had the time to dwell on their deaths. This past year Alpha William had taken my under his wing and showed my all I need to know about my new responsibilities. I picked everything up quite quickly to his surprise and therefore he gave me and extra task to our female warriors. I was pretty good fighter and I should be my father taught me everything I know.

It was six in the morning when my alarm goes off bring me out of my dreamless slumbers. I have have had a single dream since the rouge attack and I was thankful of it. Yeah I know my subconscious has pushed everything into the far corner of me mind allowing me to just fall onto the black pit of nothingness. Looking over at the clock flashing 6:10 I pushed the blanket off and swung my legs over the side of my bed get out of the bed. Stretching my arms I headed to the bathroom, turning on the water to the shower before I gor undressed. My morning showers were always quick just long enough to wash away the sweat and to help wake me up.

After that I went to my closet pick out a pair of black leggings and a light purple sports bra. Lookimg at myself in the mirror in my outfit it hugged all the right curves. My breast weren't too small or too big just the right size that you could tell they were their but not in your face. My face wasn't to define I had plumbed lips, fair skin and my eyelashes are long and thick making it look like I was always wear eyeliners. But the one thing that made me stand out was my hair when the sun hits it just right you would think it was on fire with all the red, orange and pink's in it. I through it up onto a high ponytails just before grabing my bag and heading out the door.

Training began at seven and ended at nine. Todays class had a new member which gave us an odd number, so I had the new recruit train with me. "Whats your name?" I asked her. She seemed a little sheepishly as she lookes at me. "My name is Jupiter, its nice to meet you beta." I dont think I'll ever get use to people calling me beta. 'Will you better start enjoying Sorano. Dad would be proud of us and your know its.' Ember said with a triumph. She was over joyed being called neta by the pack member and I just don't wanna let them down. I shook my head to het rid of the negative thoughts and pushed them to the back of my mind. "Jupiter thats a pretty name. Now tell me have you done any training before my class?"

Jupiter looked at me and smiled " I've had basic training. More on the defensive side, so my father told me about your class and I just had to try it out. I learn quickly so please teach me all you know." All I could do was chuckle she remind me of myself when I would wait for dad to get home list so I could test my newly learned skills to the test. But dad would always win I'd just push harder into learning more. I nodded my head at her, making jump out of excitement. After we chatted we got into sparing position "Come at me with all you get Jupiter." We started circling one another as she looked for and opening. When she decided too lung at me. I got into a block position then she dash off to the side and was instantly behind me. This girl sure is fast, she had my arms pinned to my side and had me in a bear hug. I bend my knees slightly to bring myself forward just before I rear my head backwards, hitting her in the nose making her lose grip from the pain.

Feeling her grip break I turn myself around so that im facing her. I secured her right arm and placed my free arm behind her neck and pushed her forward, this is when I gave her a straight knee to the thigh. Now that I had full control over her arm I take my forearm and placed it on the crooked of her elbow foldong it. Wrenching her shoulders forward and up for a controlled decent to the ground where I pin her. Jupiter tap's out so I released her. Helping her up I gave her a once over making sure I hadn't harmed jer to much. Once I was satisfied she was alright I gave her a pat on the back. " That was bad at all but we do have some work to do." I smiled at her. I gave her a few pointers and went on with the class till it hit nine.

I grabs an egg sandwich as I made my way to the alpha's office. Knock knock. "You may enter." Opening the door I bow my head to show my respect. "Alpha, I have the reports you asked for." Handing them over I continued "Our borders are clear of rouge sighting. I plan on taking a team to the west border to check the unclaimed land for any hidden camp. I've also have heard back from the beta's from the surrounding areas have seen a decrease in attacks on their lands but are staying vigilant in case its a plot for us to get comfortable in the peace. Thats all I have for today's report sir." I stood there waiting for him to finish goinf through the reports. Looking up to me he spoke calmly "These are tough times make sure to take a few of our warriors with you. I don't want our borders down to many people." I nodded as he continued "Kane will be returning this friday. I want you too send invites to our allies for a two days event. We'll be having a ball Saturday and Sunday I'll be transferring the title of Alpha over to him. I want you too make sure the border patrols are doubled for those two days." I nodded "Do you need any help getting the pack house ready for the events sir?" He just shook his head "Rose has already started the preparations and I'd stay out of her way when it comes to big events...I swear she can be deadly if someone meaaes up." I chuckled softly. After a few more instructions he dismissed me. I had my whole afternoon to myself so I decided to take a nap before garbing dinner in the pack house dinning room. After dinner Trax, Blaze and myself will head to the west side to check for any hidden rouge camps.
