Chapter 3

ACCEPT OR NOT No human has ever survived mating with an Alpha. With a normal werewolf, maybe… but Alphas? They’re too powerful. The moment your wolves bond—her body won’t survive it. She’ll die.” The High Priestess’s voice was calm but sharp like a blade. “But there’s a catch,” she said. “If you mate with her… only one of you will survive. And it won’t be her.” Lucas’s jaw clenched. “Then help me find a nice grave for her,” he said coldly. The line went dead. As the call ended, the sound of rustling paper caught his attention. He turned. Ella was already in the office. She stood near the desk, holding a folded document tightly in her hands. Her face was pale but determined. Without waiting for him to speak, she stepped forward and held out the paper. “Mr. Lucas,” she said, her voice trembling but firm, “this is the acknowledgment of my debt. It’s signed and dated. If I don’t pay you back, you can sue me. Use this. But leave me alone.” Lucas took the paper slowly, looked at it for a few seconds, and then — without warning — tore it into pieces. Ella gasped. “W-Why did you do that?” she asked. “I’m just a broke college student. I can’t give you anything else. What do you want from me?” He moved closer to her, each step slow, measured, dangerous. “I want your first time,” he said without blinking. Ella took a step back, eyes wide. “No… no, no. I’m not that kind of girl.” Lucas reached into his inner jacket pocket and pulled out a check. “Here. One million dollars. Take it.” Ella stared at the paper in shock. “You’ll never see this kind of money again,” he added. She looked down at the check, then back at him. “It’s not about the money.” He rolled his eyes and pulled out another slip. “Alright, five million. Don’t be f*****g greedy, Ella.” He shoved the new check toward her. With shaking hands, she took the paper… and tore it clean in two. “I will not sell my body to you,” she said, holding her head high. “Not even for a billion dollars.” Lucas’s eyes darkened. He stared at her for a moment, then slowly reached for his phone. “Fine,” he said coldly. “Let’s play it your way.” He dialed. “Hugo?” he said into the phone. “Find Ella’s grandmother. Bring her here. Now.” Ella’s face drained of color. “No! Please don’t involve her. She’s sick! She’s done nothing wrong!” “Then give me what I want,” he said. Her heart pounded painfully. She felt the walls closing in. The fear. The shame. The helplessness. And then, she said it. “I’ll do it.” Lucas raised an eyebrow. “What did you say?” “I said…” Ella swallowed hard, eyes burning, voice trembling. “I’ll give you my virginity. Just don’t hurt her. Please.” The moment Ella said, “I’ll give you my virginity. Please don’t hurt my grandma,” Lucas ended the call without a word. He stared at her for a few seconds, silent and unreadable. Then he stood and gently tucked her hair behind her ear. Without warning, he lifted her and placed her on top of his office table. “I’ll go slow,” he whispered, leaning in. He kissed her gently, then tried to deepen it… but Ella quickly turned her head and pushed him away. She jumped off the table, her heart pounding, and stood in the corner of the room, shaking slightly. Lucas sighed, sat back in his chair, and crossed his arms. “What now?” Ella looked around the room nervously. “What... what, here?” she stammered. “No. This is the dean’s office. We can’t just... have s*x in here.” Lucas raised an eyebrow. “Then we’ll get a hotel.” Ella panicked inwardly. I need to stall him... then get grandma and run. Think, Ella. Think fast. She forced a small smile. “Well... it is my first time. I always imagined it would be... special. Besides, I don’t really believe in s*x before marriage.” Lucas leaned forward. “Alright. Then we’ll get married.” Her eyes widened. “You want to marry me?” “You said s*x after marriage, right?” Lucas said. “Unless that was a lie. I’ll pick you up at ten tomorrow. We’re going to City Hall. We’re getting married.” “Um... no. I have class.” “Fine. After class,” he said sharply. His tone changed — no longer calm, but tight with impatience. “Listen to me, Ella. I’m running out of patience. I don’t have time for games. So behave. And don’t try anything stupid.” Ella nodded, pretending to agree, but her mind was racing. I bought myself some time. Now I just need to find Grandma and get her somewhere safe. That evening, as soon as school ended, Ella rushed to the hospital. Her heart sank the moment she arrived. Lucas was already there, standing in the hallway — waiting — with two large men in black watching over her grandmother’s room like bodyguards. Her breath caught in her throat. It’s too late. He’s already got her. She clenched her fists and forced a smile as she approached him. All she could do now… was cooperate. The next day, Ella was still at school, dreading the moment Lucas would arrive. Then her phone buzzed. Lucas: I’m coming now. She took a deep breath and picked up her bag. Just as she was walking toward the school gate, she passed Claudia — the same girl who always treated her like trash. Claudia was standing with three rough-looking guys behind the cafeteria building. “That girl who just walked by?” Claudia said, pointing at Ella. “Rough her up real good. Teach her a lesson.” One of the guys chuckled. “We got it.” Claudia held out a wad of cash, but before handing it over, she pulled it back. “I don’t want to see her on campus again. Is that clear?” The tallest guy grinned. “This b***h is crazy. I love that.” She smiled sweetly and gave him the money. “This is for stealing my spotlight, Ella,” Claudia muttered under her breath. “Let’s see how pretty you are after today.” Ella stood near the school gate, waiting for Lucas’s black car. But instead… three shadows stepped out in front of her. She turned — and froze. Three men surrounded her. One had a knife. Another had brass knuckles. The last one had a scar running down his cheek.
