CHRISTMAS

Another integral part of my childhood is during the festive season of Christmas. It entailed of going to church for Christmas mass, being bought new clothes that were on trend, decorating the house and setting the Christmas tree "mutarakwa" eating delicious food and even drinking soda which we would mix. Then there was the photographer coming to your home and taking a family photo. There was also purchasing balloons from a lucky sticker card which was a scam. Trust me I learnt it the hard way, not once, not twice did I receive the smallest of balloons. I then resulted to buying the big balloon no 7 from Mogaka's shop after all the small ones had been gifted to their respective victims. I came to know that Mogaka would remove the stickers of the big ballons early before everyone started trying their luck. What a scam. When I compare this generation with mine I just smile. I really envy them days back then. Nowadays childhood milestones are all about PlayStation and animation also not forgetting ridding bicycles.Technology has also changed a lot and that's why I don't consider it being a Generation Z fault. All in all they should consider themselves lucky for I have given the exact view of the outdated childhood milestones. Them day's.
