Charlotte
I checked the time after I finished my tasks for the day. It’s almost time to close. Right on time, as always, I thought. After packing, I decided to go through my phone to pass the time. A notification from an unknown number popped up on my screen.
"You know you can’t hide forever. When I finally lay my hands on you, I’ll make sure no one ever finds you. You’re nothing special to him; he’ll forget about you soon after you disappear. You don’t know what I have in store for you, baby girl."
The only person who calls me baby girl is my dad, and I have no idea how he got my number. Should I tell Damian? He’s already stressed, and I don’t want to be a burden on him. I closed the messaging app and went about playing my game.
"Cupcake,"
Yes, daddy," I responded, standing up. I walked into Damian’s embrace.
"I just wanted a kiss before you leave," he said, placing his lips on mine.
Anytime he kisses me, I always feel something different. Not bad, different. It feels so good that I’m scared it’ll be a dream that I’ll soon wake from.
"I’ll be back before you know it," he said after the kiss.
"Okay daddy." I smiled.
Damian went back to the conference room when Fynn and Patrick came up. May said she had to go check on some things after work, so she’ll head to her side.
"Shall we grab some popcorn and go binge-watch the anime we started?" I asked as we left the building.
"Wait...how come I didn’t watch that anime?" Max asked.
"You guys decided to opt out of the fun by going to... only God knows where you guys went," Pat replied, hiding behind me.
Sorry, Little Missy, but I’ll have to grab that child behind you," Max said, ready to make a move.
"What if I don’t allow you?" I asked.
"There’s nothing I can do," he replied.
"Well, he’s all yours," I said, taking a step to the side.
"This looks like a scam," Max said.
"Well, don’t say I didn’t give you the chance," I said.
"Allow me," Pat said, pulling the door open.
I thanked him as I got in.
"I thought we came in for popcorn," I said as we kept picking things up.
"We’ll need more than just popcorn if we’re going to watch a series," Sly said, picking up some drinks.
"Okay," I said.
"As I said, you’re not paying for anything," Fynn said as we got to the check point.
"You know it’s not fair," I said, getting my card out.
"Let me show you what’s fair," Pat said, taking my card and giving the cashier his. "You’ll get your card when we get home," he smiled.
"You’re kidding, right?"
"Unless you have a way of taking it out of my pocket," he said, placing it in his suit.
"I’ll just cry on you," I said, crossing my arms.
"Remind me to write a will when we get home," he said.
"I’ll happily remind you," Max chipped in.
I rolled my eyes. I took out my phone when it vibrated while I was being surrounded by the men in black.
"I see you. Looking beautiful as always. Do you know what’s more beautiful? You, naked, gagged, and being the slave that you’re supposed to be. I can’t wait to have you back. No one is supposed to know about this conversation. We can easily knock out your little friends."
Another text from an unknown number, probably from Maurice.
"What’s wrong?" Pat asked.
"It’s nothing," I said, putting the phone back inside the bag.
"You know we can also take the phone, if necessary," Fynn said.
"Can we get home first?" I asked.
"Yeah," they said.
I realized they were scanning the area.
"How are you guys talking without making it obvious?" I asked no one in particular.
"We just happen to, or should I say trained to, whatever floats your boat," Pat responded.
"Okay, that’s cool. You should train me too," I said as we got to the car.
Fynn opened the door for me. These guys are good at having wordless communications. Instead of being in the car with Pat and Fynn, I was in the car with Max and Pat. We moved without further delay.
"Are we being followed?" I asked.
"Not really. You happen to have an admirer who keeps tabs on you," Pat said.
"He’s not my admirer."
"Great, we all hate him then," Max said.
"Don’t you think he’ll do anything?" I got scared.
"Naah, unless he wants to get his ass kicked or he has a death wish," Max responded.
"Okay, but they’re dangerous."
"Do you think they’re more dangerous than the Don?" Pat asked.
"I don’t know," I whispered.
"Trust us," Pat said. "If the Don doesn’t care about you, he won’t get his best personal guards to be with you. He’ll kill anyone who lets a single tear slide down their cheek. He’ll burn the world for you. You mean a lot to him; he won’t hurt you," he continued.
"Okay," I said.
He gave me his best personal guards, and he’s not protected. What if someone wants to harm him?
"To keep you from overthinking, he’s fine on his own. Don’t worry." Max said.
"Okay, I’ll try not to," I said, knowing full well that I wouldn’t be okay with him being out there without protection.
"Now can we get our cheerful Charlotte back?"
"Yeah right."
"Right, let’s go have some fun," Pat said, making us laugh.
Another day to have fun and hope Damian will be alright.
Frederick
"That’s all for today," Damian said, dismissing the members of the association.
"I didn’t know this meeting would drag far into the night," I said.
"Me neither," Sebastian added. "I learned the Black Scorpions were the ones who sent the attack."
Damian only nodded.
"What are you doing to do about it?" I asked.
"Nothing. No one was hurt, so we’re not going to waste our time on them," Sebastian replied. "But they won’t like us when they attack a second time."
"I hope Isabella doesn’t mind that I kept you here all day," Damian asked.
"She doesn’t mind. Besides, she’s understanding," he replied. "I’ll see you tomorrow."
Damian nodded.
"Are you sure you don’t need an escort?" I asked as we left the building.
"Yeah, I was going to ask you the same thing."
"Naah, I’m good. I just wanted to be sure you'd be okay."
"Don't worry, I’ll be good," Damian laughed.
"Meaning?" I asked, smirking.
"I'm going straight home to my cupcake," he winked.
I miss seeing him smile.
"Don't go places you’re not supposed to be," he said.
"Trust me, I'm already taken and occupied."
"See you tomorrow then," he laughed, giving me a bro hug.
The day after Damian said he wanted Charlotte, I did a little background check on her. We all know about her dad and his amateur mafia society, hiding behind the more organized ones and getting bread crumbs from their masters. There was no more information about her aside from the missing notice, which was later dismissed. I later learned from Damian that they’re still quietly searching for her. Well, they better not try to mess with her. They don’t know what will hit them if they try. We don’t mind doing the needful for people because of their nature.
Damian
I got home. It’s almost midnight. I heard laughter as I got inside. I leaned against the wall and watched them as they played a game of Uno. She raised her head as the rest noticed I was here.
"Don’t worry, we’ll pack the cards," Pat said.
"Okay, I’ll see you guys tomorrow." She said this, running to me.
They all nodded. I signaled to them that I wanted to see them in my office.
"How did you know I was in?" I asked, burying my face in her hair.
"Your cologne," she replied.
"Mmm. I won’t be able to surprise you then."
"You can still surprise me, though. I missed you."
"I missed you too, cupcake."
She proceeded to tell me how her evening went, the movies they watched, and the games they played.
"I received some anonymous messages today," she said as we entered the bedroom.
"I’m assuming they’re from your dad and his second man."
"Yeah," she responded, handing me her phone to read them.
"I see. You need a new phone and a new number if you want You can forget about them," I said.
"But..." she started, but I placed a finger on her lips.
"They can’t do anything to you." I traced the outline of her soft lips. "Give me a minute; I need to see the boys."
She nodded. After getting my usual updates and getting Charlotte’s card, I went back to my cupcake. I found her in the same spot where I left her.
"Now, where were we?" I asked, taking my position between her legs. "Ah yes," I whispered, undoing my cuffs. Undoing the buttons on my shirt, she brushed her hands slightly across my chest, pushing the shirt off my shoulders.
I rubbed my hands on her thighs, letting her touch and her body soothe me. I carried her and headed for the bathroom.
When I’m with her, I can’t seem to get my mind and hands off her. The water running down her body did nothing to tame my wild thoughts. I felt her touch me again—that touch that sets my feelings ablaze. I grabbed her hands and pinned them above her head.
"What do you do to me?" I asked, letting my free hand slide down one side of her body. Her eyes were closed; she was just feeling the moment.
"Look at you. A beautiful angel...my beautiful cupcake...mine." I kissed her neck, feeling that body I'd been yearning for.
I let go of her hands, watching her open those beautiful eyes.
"I think we need to get out of here."
She laughed. "You always like to tease me."
We quickly took a shower and prepared for the night.
"I’m going to grab my PJs," she said.
"No need. We won’t be needing them." I smirked.
"As the Don says." She removed the towel.
"Mmm. You know, I don’t mind spending a couple of hours in the bathroom. Getting this beautiful body dirty, getting it clean, and repeating the process"
She walked over to me, giving me a kiss on the cheeks. "I’ll get these in the basket first," she said, taking the towels away.
I lay in bed, watching her return and climb into bed. I pulled her closer, and she got under the covers. With one hand running through her hair and the other squeezing her ass, I drifted off to sleep.
