The early morning was cool in the great brick DuBois mansion kitchen where Elzbieta and Petronilla sat drinking tea with their aunt and High Priestess, Corinthia DuBois. “The moon was full last night,” Corinthia said with a sigh, “and I sensed unsettling sensations when I reached out to draw power to me.” “Unsettling how?” Elzbieta asked as she spooned sugar into her tea and stirred it. “I could feel something powerful,” she said, creasing her brow, “but confused.” “And angry,” Petronilla added. “I could feel it too.
