Ep-2- Expose

In Elliot’s room

Elliot was getting ready for marriage. As the sunlight streamed through the lace curtains, illuminating the room with a soft glow, the bridegroom stood before the mirror, his reflection a portrait of anticipation and excitement. Dressed in a crisply tailored suit, every detail meticulously chosen to reflect elegance and personality, he exuded a quiet confidence. His hands moved deftly as he adjusted his tie, ensuring it lay just right against the crisp white shirt. A faint smile played on his lips, betraying the nerves that danced beneath the surface. His eyes, filled with joy and nervous energy, met his gaze in the mirror, reflecting on the journey that had led him to that moment.

Elliot was holding some papers in his hand. In front of him stood a man, Carolyne’s father, Johathan Gomes. He said, “Elliot, are the papers okay? Do you have any problem now?” Without any expression, Elliot replied, “No, everything is okay. Let’s go downstairs.”

When he was coming down all, the eyes were stuck on him. Elliot looked very handsome. Emma and Eleze were talking to each other, “See, my brother is looking so handsome.” Grace thought “Though this person looks like a prince Charming, in reality, he is a dam devil.”

After coming down, Elliot first met with his fellow business partners, and then he looked at Grace. After looking, Elliot said something to his assistant and went to Carolyne in the hall. The priest started the rituals. “She looks beautiful also”, Emma said to Grace.

Suddenly, the light went off. Everyone started to panic. The servants went to check what happened to the lights.

Suddenly, a projector started. Everyone’s attention was drawn to the projector. The projector started showing the misdeeds of Jonathan. What illegal work Jonathan did, all of that was shown in the projector. Everyone was astonished. Seeing this, Jonathan got angry and shouted, “What is this all? Stop that!!” He ran to stop the projector. At that moment the light turned on. Elliot slowly came near Jonathan and said, “What was the surprise? You gave me 48 hours to marry your daughter and I exposed your black money and illegal deeds in front of everyone. You should have thought who Elliot Scarlet is.” The whole country came to know how Jonathan was betraying the nation. After saying this, the police got there and arrested Jonathan. Elliot said, “This marriage was only a way to catch you red-handed.”

Watching all this Grace said, “It seems that I am watching a movie scene.” Emma said, “My brother is very mysterious. No one knows what he is going to do.”

After all these the guests went away and after some interrogation, the press team also went away. Only the priest was there as he was asked to stay. At last, only the family members, Grace and Carolyne were left. As the priest was still there, Carolyne thought she could marry Elliot even after all these.

Grandma said, “Elliot, why did you create all the drama? Will you marry Carolyne or not?”

Now this was a big question. Grandma also said, “As per your grandpa’s will you have to get married before your 29th birthday, which is coming after 2 days.”

Elliot said, “Yes Grandma, I haven’t forgotten anything. I remember everything. My marriage will happen tonight.”

Hearing this, Grandma asked, “Will you marry Carolyne?” Elliot replied, “NO”. Everyone became confused. Who is Elliot going to marry?

Carolyne said, “What are you saying, Elliot? Don’t you love me?” Elliot replied, “Who says that I love you? I had to do this because of your father.” Elliot got angry. He said to Carolyne, “If you don’t want me to do anything worse, please go away.” Carolyne left that place.

Ronald asked, “Elliot, if you don’t want to marry Carolyne, whom do you want to marry?”

Hearing this, Elliot looked at Grace. He then started going to them. Grace and Emma were talking to each other. “Why the devil is coming to us?” Grace asked. Emma said, “I don’t know. I haven’t done anything wrong.”

Elliot suddenly came to Grace and held her hand. He then took he to the hall. Everyone was shocked to see this. Grace couldn’t do anything. She was trying to say something, but Elliot was very angry, he was not in the mood to hear anything. Grandma asked, “Elliot, what are you doing boy?” Elliot replied in one word, ‘Marriage’. Emma thought, “My best friend is going to die today. I have to do something.” Before she could do something, grandma stopped her and shook her head, saying ‘NO’. On the other hand, Elliot went to the hall with Grace and asked the priest to do the rituals.

Seeing all this, Grace thought, “What is going on I can’t understand. My marriage, with Mr. Scarlet is impossible.” She looked at everyone with a sight begging for help. But no one said a word. She understood, today nothing could save her. She said to Elliot, “What are you doing, Mr. Scarlet? I don’t want to marry you.” Elliot looked at her with a sight full of anger. She could not say anything.

The marriage was completed. Elliot took blessings from Grandma. Ronald asked, “Elliot, why did you marry Grace? She is just 19. Your marriage will not be legal until she is 21.”

Elliot said, “I know. I have made changes in the will and made the age of marriage from 29 to 32. So, after Grace becomes 21, we can legally register our marriage.” Saying this, Elliot went to his room.

Eleana came to Grace and said, “My girl, now you are a part of our family.” Grandma said, “Grace, you have just seen his anger till now. But believe me, Elliot is a pure-hearted person. He is not bad in mind.”

Grace said nothing. She was just hearing what everyone was saying. After some time, Emma took Grace to her room. Entering the room, Grace said, “I am very unfortunate that I met you.” Emma felt sorry and said, “But I have done nothing. I was trying to stop all this. But why didn’t you say anything?” Grace replied, “I tried, but his anger made me dumb.” Eleana came into the room and said, “Grace, from now you will stay at Elliot’s room, not this.”

Grace shouted, “NO! I can’t stay there. Don’t you know, Aunty, how much I am afraid of that person? I can’t stay with him.” Eleze came and said, “Grace, if you don’t go now, brother will come here to take you to that room.”

Grace understood that there was no alternate way other than going to Elliot’s room. She took her clothes and went to Elliot’s room with Eleana. Before entering the room Eleana stopped and said, “I can’t go inside the room. Elliot doesn’t allow the family members to go in his room.” Hearing this Grace got scared again. She said, “Then I must not go there. I am afraid he will get angry after seeing me.”

Eleana smiled. She said, “He will not get angry. You go. Nothing will happen.” Grace opened the door and started looking into the room. The room was very big. It seemed that another world was there inside the room. She went into the room and closed the door.
