“I am done with the cleaning.” Kirsty answered back. But she didn’t want Sam to know that she went beyond what was asked of her. Because the moment he does know about it, she already thought about getting herself to pay for it.

“Cleaning? What do you mean?” Chloe was confused about what was currently happening in the conversation.

“She’s new to the pack and she is tasked to clean the ranch.” Sam said.

Chloe raised her eyebrows which were perfectly on fleek.

“Don’t you have the others to clean the place?” Her voice started to get irritated. Chloe stood up from her place and slowly walked in Sam’s direction and faced him.

“It’s a simple task, Klo. Besides, she would just have to clean the ranch only, not feed the horses inside.” Sam could feel that Chloe was planning on something, and he didn’t want to give her the chance to say it to him because he wouldn’t and couldn’t deny anything that his woman would ask of him.

“But I know that some people were already assigned to clean the place, Sam…”

“Yeah, they would still do their duty, Klo.” He avoided making eye contact with her.

Chloe looked in Kirsty’s direction who was still sitting on the ground. The woman was still processing what happened during her dream and she was trying her best to remember every single detail about it.

“But she looked so thin to do her duty, Sam. Did the Alpha order her to do this stuff?” He knew that her woman has always been having that soft spot in her heart with women in the pack who are having a hard time in their lives.

“Yeah.” He lied. The rogue was given to him by the Alpha. Draken gave it as his responsibility.

“Are you sure? You are not hiding anything from me?” Chloe could feel that Sam was hiding something, but she was not sure if her man was lying to her.

“We will talk when we arrive at our house.” He had no plans of hiding it from her, and so he decided to tell her when they arrive at their place but now is not the right time as the subject of their talk is present with them.

“Is it that important?”

“It is, Klo. It is.” He held her right hand and kissed the back of it.
