When she was at the nearest possible area that she could be, the stallion was not even surprised by Kirsty, and it even looked directly in her direction. It amazed her how beautiful that horse is, and how friendly it was to her that it didn’t even move nor show any signs of aggressiveness. The other horses inside neighed but enough only to her ears. Kirsty couldn’t help herself and decided to open the door that separate her from the white stallion.
The horse moved a little bit, and it moved its head outside its cage. The horse remained calm which is according to the liking of Kirsty. She checked the vest of the horse and noticed that an engraved name of ‘c***k’ was written, and she assumed that the name of the horse is c***k. She hasn’t been to ranches before and it was the first time that she spent this amount of time in such a place with expensive horses, as far as her memory serves her.
She moved closer to the horse. The angry face of the beta passed through her mind as if it reminded her to take her dirty hands off the white horse inside. She pushed the thought away and smiled at the stallion who remained looking in her direction.
"Hi..." Kirsty whispered softly, her voice barely audible in the tranquil surroundings. As she extended her hand to feed the horse, a sense of anticipation filled the air. The horse remained still, its eyes fixed on her as if assessing her every move. Kirsty couldn't help but notice the horse's indifference towards the grass she had collected from the neighboring enclosures.
A gentle chuckle escaped her lips, a lighthearted reaction to the horse's discerning taste. It seemed that the horse had developed a preference for the grass in its own enclosure, finding solace and familiarity in its familiar surroundings.
Undeterred by the horse's rejection of the grass, Kirsty shifted her approach. With a slight adjustment, she reached out to stroke the horse's velvety mane, allowing her touch to convey a sense of comfort and trust. The horse responded to her gentle touch, its muscles relaxing under her caress.
Kirsty's eyes widened in curiosity as she noticed a separate room situated at the back of the white horse. Its door was ajar, inviting her to explore what lay within. Intrigued by the prospect of discovering something new, she discarded the grass from her hands and carefully made her way toward the room, her small feet carrying her with a sense of both excitement and trepidation.
As she approached the room, the white horse suddenly moved and let out a loud neigh, startling Kirsty and causing her to jump back in surprise. It seemed as though the horse had been alerted by something, its attention diverted to an unseen presence or noise that had caught its keen senses. The unexpected sound and movement caused Kirsty's heart to race, momentarily unsettling her.
Kirsty gently approached the horse, her voice soothing and her intentions clear. She understood the horse's restless behavior, sensing that it was in search of something more than the grass she had provided. As the horse neighed in response, it seemed to convey a mix of frustration and anticipation.
With a compassionate smile, Kirsty reassured the horse, "Shhh. I won't steal here." Her words were filled with genuine empathy as if she could understand the horse's desires and needs. It was as if they shared a secret language, a connection that transcended human and animal boundaries.
"You don't want to eat the grass I gave you," Kirsty continued, her voice tinged with a touch of amusement. She acknowledged that the horse had higher expectations when it came to its meal. "I am looking for something to feed you," she explained, a determined glimmer in her eyes.
As Kirsty stepped into the room, her eyes widened in surprise and curiosity. The sight before her was unexpected yet intriguing. The room was filled with an array of vests, weapons, and equipment commonly associated with battles and warfare. It was as if she had stumbled upon a hidden armory dedicated to the art of combat.
The vests hanging on the walls caught her attention. Each one bore an engraved name, a distinctive mark that personalized them. It was evident that these vests were not merely generic pieces of armor, but individualized and assigned to specific horses. The realization sent a shiver down Kirsty's spine, as it hinted at a deeper purpose for these garments and the creatures they were intended for.
Her gaze wandered further, drawn to the left side of the room. There, amidst the assortment of battle gear, she found what she had been searching for—the food for the white horse. Therefore, she concluded that the white horse is not just an ordinary horse, but a horse used for battles.
“I never thought I would see this, Chink.” She said loudly for the horse to hear her. Her eyes were glowing with amazement as she roamed around the room. And she thought that the horse is an important one to the pack. Kirsty heard a stomp of a foot and assumed that the sound came from the horses inside. The neighed of the horses subsided and the place was silent.
Kirsty decided to hold a handful of grass to feed for the horse and the moment she steps her foot outside the room, a strong pair of arms pinned her on the wall, causing her to drop the grass that she was holding, and a hand choke her. Kirsty's heart raced as she found herself pinned against the wall, trapped within the strong grip of the stranger. Fear surged through her veins, mingling with the confusion and shock that clouded her mind. Her eyes darted to the face of the person who held her captive, meeting a pair of intense, raging gray eyes that burned with furious fire.
"Who are you?!" he bellowed, his voice filled with both accusation and desperation. Kirsty's mind raced, searching for answers amidst the chaos of the situation. She tried to speak, but the pressure of the hand around her throat made it difficult to form coherent words.
