THIRTY-TWO Rachel eased herself into the tub of hot water. Pretty pinkish bubbles glistened as they gathered together over her body. She felt very faint and a touch confused. Overwork due to the murder had made her badly in need of a vacation. She would have to mention that to Joe. They were slowly patching their relationship, so maybe he would be amicable to a vacation. Get away from the stress caused by the murder, and the misunderstandings they had experienced; make it a second honeymoon. The lazy thoughts running though her brain made her sleepy, and so she drifted off… Joe entered the unit, greeted happily by Rufus. “Rachel?” The apartment was dark since they had returned to standard time and no lights were turned on.
