Let me tell you a story about everything. In the beginning and the end, there was and will be a being known as ‘God’. No, this ain’t some kinda religious bullshit. You don’t have to believe it if you don’t wanna. I honestly couldn’t care less.
Anyway, there’s this entity that is essentially everything in every existence. An omnipotent and omniscient thing. Not a guy or a girl as most people would like to believe, but just an ‘It’. This almighty blob of eternity, let’s just call it the ‘Eternal Slime God’ for kicks and giggles. Well, it eventually divided into two halves.
The two demigods were known as “Who is like God?” and “The Lightbringer”. Michael and Helel… Although they’ve gone by probably millions of other names, maybe billions for all I f*****g know. Still, Michael and Helel were the first two entities that actually had individual personalities and thoughts. Their ideas and ideals conflicted most of the time, but they were the first two souls.
If they had recombined again right there and then, they would’ve become ‘God’. An all powerful existence. What would be the point in that though? What would it accomplish? What use is ‘God’, if there is no comparison? That’s what it all comes down to in the end: Relativity.
Everything is relative. Michael and Helel were equals, so they fought with each other over dominance. Each refused to admit that the other was superior. Which is pretty reasonable, since they were just two f*****g blobs of mana and information. Since the two goopy bastards couldn’t come to a conclusion by just rubbing up against each other, they started thinking of other ways to ‘win’ the fight for superiority.
Their mana couldn’t increase in the current state and they couldn’t even suck out the mana from their opponent. That is, until they realized that it was possible to multiply further. Michael created Raphael, while Helel plopped out Gabriel. I won’t get into name meanings because honestly, that s**t didn’t even exist back then.
Now there were four. Michael and Raphael, versus Helel and Gabriel… Unfortunately, that still didn’t solve anything. Thus, they all decided to multiply again, like cells. Now there were eight: Michael, Helel, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel, Azrael, Sariel and Anael.
These were the original eight souls. Yeah, not seven, but eight. That’s when things started to get a bit more complicated. It wasn’t just two versus two anymore. There were eight very different souls, with almost diametrically opposed views on everything. That’s what happens when one mind is split into many parts. Confusion and conflict arise. Then continue to thrive and grow.
Azrael, Uriel and Sariel split off into their own faction. While Michael forcefully consumed Anael to make itself more powerful. Helel was left alone, while Raphael and Gabriel chose to fuse together of their own free will. Following their example, Azrael, Uriel and Sariel did the same.
Helel was the weakest and decided to be absorbed by Michael, rather than being consumed by the ‘younger’ souls. Of course, nothing lasts forever. Anael managed to escape, then Helel left and the other two groups broke up as well.
In the end, they decided to stay as individuals and stop fighting each other so simply. Remember that although this was the beginning of all existence, it was also after the previous one ended. It’s a vicious cycle of idiocy that continues at this very moment, probably.
Creation was and continues to be an endless series of disasters. They didn’t just create good s**t after all. For every awesome thing they did, there was some disgusting and horrible bullshit to counter it.
Each of them created new souls and even entire universes to play around with. There was no good or evil in the beginning. After enough suffering and pain though, they started to realize how bad they f****d up. The Original Seven Souls, plus Anael, came together and decided “We need to fix this s**t!”
By that, they were talking about destroying everything they created and returning back to the simpler times. Obviously it didn’t go down so well with all their creations that preferred to maintain their own existence. The Original Eight were too weak to face off against all of the other powerhouses that they made, so there needed to be a new ‘God’. More specifically, a Titan. One which was made with the power of the Eight Original Souls.
Yeah, I know, what could possibly go wrong? Anyway, they programmed this existence to be like an emotionless robot for the most part. Karma was designed to be the destroyer of all creation, but more importantly, a punisher to those who had committed ‘sins’. By sins, I mean s**t that can actually hurt a Soul: Torture, r**e, mind washing, betrayal, that kinda stuff.
If Karma is the Eternal Prison which all souls were sentenced to, then Dharma is the key to unlocking it or just messing everything up even further. What is Dharma you ask? Well, according to the books I wrote so far, probably me. Michael Cinagra, or at least, the Pantheon of Michael’s… Including the original, Rapture-0, which is the closest to the first Michael as possible.
That Rapture-0 should be on a planet called Alfirin. Actually, Alfirin was just the continent, so I actually don’t know what the planet is officially named. Maybe Terra or Earth? If I had to guess, I’d say that Sariel wanted me to either kill him or like, help him somehow?
If Karma was the first Titan, then who the hell are the others? Are they powerful enough to be a threat to Karma, or is she more like a giant whale eating a bunch of krill? Maybe there are a few that are kinda dangerous or even close to her level of strength?
Even Inari and other Eternal Deities probably have no f*****g clue! They’re struggling to get stronger, but there’s only so much they can do… At a certain point, they might be able to escape Samsara or Karma, but the more likely conclusion is that they’ll just die. All that time and energy focused on a single thing, only to fail in the end. Of course, they’ll have a lot of advantages over other people, but they’ll still have to ‘re-roll’ and start over on a new character.
I wonder if that has happened to me already? Would I even know? Honestly, by that logic, everyone was created from that original ‘Slime God’. So we’re all just little oozes, making new bodies for ourselves, trying to escape from our mundane and shitty lives. Only to die and have to live another life, probably in a worse situation. It all depends on whether our knowledge accumulates and can be maintained…
What good is that though? How can all these random stories be useful to me now? I’m too busy just trying to take care of my family! It’ll probably be harder than anything I’ve ever done, but I know that I won’t regret it!
Yes, yes, I know that I’m basically contradicting the entire moral of the story I just told… Life is full of contradictions though. Especially when it comes to love and happiness.
