Beep Beep Beep
Went the sound of the alarm clock. Cassidy rolled over turned off the alarm and when back to bed or al least tried to. She got up got dressed and when down stairs. Cassidy was a compelling young lady. 14 years under her belt. And all she wanted to do was sleep in. She had short brown hair she was wearing a black sports b*a and a teal tank-top and denim shorts. She had her hair up in a half pony and sat down for breakfast. “Morning dads,” she said as she sat down at the kitchen island for breakfast.
“Morning dear” they respond as place a plate of toast and yogurt in front of her. They look nervous or sad. “What’s wrong dads?” She voices as she starts to eat. “Oh... um... how do we say this...” stumbles Mark (dad 1) Jace (dad 2) states, “ Mark got a promotion at work.” “ oh that’s good but that doesn’t explain why your nervous though.” “Well... we have to move to New York because of your fathers job.” Jace says with pity in his voice. “What?!”Cassidy exclaimed and starts choking on her toast because of it.
Five days later Cassidy is in the back of her family’s car watching her home fade off into the distance.
