Abigail looks at him, “What?” Gallant shrugs, “You heard it, I said it.” She approached him again, “Could you take me to that smart person?” He laughs, “Are you really saying that? He’s going insane.” She rolls her eyes, “Look at my eyes, your majesty.” She looks at his eyes threateningly. “Since I am not gaining anything from this favor you asked. What about you take me with you and give me minutes to talk with him.” He sighs in defeat once more, “Fine. A favor for a favor. Seems fair.” He looks away from her. “Thank you.” She turns around and continued to put the ingredients as the instructions said in the book. “One drop of aloe vera extract…” She muttered to herself. “But, there’s one problem.” Abigail immediately turns her head to him. “What is the problem now? I am already brewing these potions that you will need for your friends.” He sighs, “It will not solve his problem.” She grunts, “Do you mean about his insanity? He’s not. He’s the smartest among all of you based on your ignorance.” He shakes his head, “It’s not that. I mean, it’s one of his problems. But, it’s not the one I am referring to.” She rolls her eyes and dropped the last ingredient in the cauldron. “Say it already. Don’t make it dramatic.” “He’s not with us.” Before Abigail can even start stirring the ingredients, she froze to her place. She slowly turns her head to him, “You little scammer…” Her grip on the long rod that she’s holding tightens. “I am not lying in the first place.” Gallant sighs, “I didn’t even say he was with us.” She leans the stirring rod on the pot, “Then why didn’t you cleared it to me?” He looks at her with a mocking smile, “Because I am just clearing it right now?” She was speechless. The lack of reaction from her widens the grin of the menacing warrior. “If you just waited and not overreacted on everything. It’s just our first day of encounter and you seem made an enemy out of me.” Abigail rolls her eyes and ignores him. She started stirring the concoction that she has going on in the cauldron. Gallant mockingly giggled. A small laugh that triggers the witch somehow. “I got you, finally. Successfully maintained my ego intact.” “I am glad you know you're egoistic.” She smirks as she gazed her eyes at him. Another bullet was shot. But, it didn’t seem to bother the man very much. “I am glad you noticed that. I thought you just see me as a mass of jerkiness.” She looks at him, “You are a mass of douchebaggery, jerkiness, and everything that makes you deserve a slap. Oh, wait. No, multiple slaps will be enough.” He laughs, “You think that will get me?” She snickered, “I mean, I got you tamed earlier. Besides, I am a witch.” Gallant rolls his eyes, “A witch who doesn’t even know what she’s doing and insane already. That’s why they burn witches somewhere in Lesser Untamo. Insanity is contagious and dangerous as it is.” Abigail pulls out the rod from the cauldron as she saw the colors change. She taps its shaft on the lips to shake out the liquid. “If I am insane, I could make this a dangerous, very dangerous potion with just one ingredient. If you don’t shut your babbling mouth.” She reaches for a small bottle with contents that looks dry and wilted. She looks at him with a menacing smile while shaking the container in her hands. Gallant grunts as Abigail win once more. She laughs as she set aside the ingredient. “I am not insane. I only speak what I witnessed, I heard, and I remembered. So, you are getting regeneration potions.” She grabbed a daisy from the hanging flower baskets on the wall. She puts it on the cauldron. She approached the cupboard with potion bottles on it. She looks at Gallant who looks defeated once more, “How many of you are injured?” He looks at her, “Five.” “Since I am generous and secure, I will make it ten.” She smiles as she grabbed a total of ten potion bottles. She grabbed a funnel and placed the bottles on the end table beside the cauldron. She took the fancy-looking ladle that’s hanging on the shelf and started transferring the healing liquid to their containers. As soon as she fills one up, she seals it shut with a small cork. She looks at Gallant, “Here are your options. If it’s not effective, it’s your problem.” “Wait, what?” He looks at her, perplexed. Abigail laughs, “I am just kidding. I am sure I followed every instruction even some of them are confusing. Very convenient that I have this book.” She grabs the book and flips its pages. After playing with the book, she looks at Gallant. “Do you still need anything?” He looks down at his toe, “It has been healed by waiting. Thank you for helping.” Abigail grins, “Your welcome.” Gallant grunts, “You can’t even tell sarcasm.” She imitates his voice, “You can’t even tell sarcasm.” She smirks, “I can, idiot.” She groans, “Why do I need to deal with you?” “You have no choice, I am the smartest one in all of us to avoid debris. So, I am sorry if I’m clever to tell danger, unlike the others.” He smirked at her as he approached the potions and stored them in the leather bag. She turns to him, “Be careful of that. I don’t trust your smarts in handling fragile glass.” He chuckles, “Pfft. What will happen then? This frayed leather bag will regenerate some of its parts?” Abigail rolls her eyes, “For your friend’s sake, be careful. Not be a douchebag about it.” He laughs, “Fine, fine. Let’s have a truce for these potions.” She sighs as she cleans up the mess she made in her work area. “You want to go with me to meet Garret, right?” She looks at him and nods, “I do. If you know where he is.” He sighs, “Ah…” He hisses, Abigail looks at him with less hope in her eyes. “It’s fine if you can’t. You can take those for free.” He looks at her, “No, no. I can, it will be just an adventure. If you’re up to that.” She shrugs, “As long as I can find him and at least have a clue of how bad is my situation. It’s fine for me. Besides, I am alone here. I am not used to that. I might really get insane.” He chuckled, “You will be a great addition to us.” She glares at him, “The only problem is that you are with us and I have to deal with you than I expected.” “Oh, come on! I am not that bad of a person.” Abigail snorts, “Since we have a truce, an unofficial one, I am not going to argue anymore.” She shakes her head, “I am going to prepare. We will be going today.” She approached a bag that hangs on one of the hooks that are engraved on the walls. “How long are we going to travel?” “Oh, maybe three months or so.” She looks at him with visible shock on her face, “Excuse me?” Gallant didn’t react as much, “What? If you think of it, three months is already short for an adventure. Then, you are complaining.” She was confused, “How many miles or any measurement of the distance you use here is our destination from here?” He shrugs, “I don’t know and I am not insane enough like the cartographers to count the distance we will cover. But, it’s far away enough to take us three months to go back to the capital.” “Are you sure about what you are saying? That’s such a long journey! Many things could happen in a span of three months. Time isn’t on our side—or at least, on my side. Since I am the only one who cares about this situation that we are in.” He sighs, “I am sure. It took us three months to retreat to Foeford. This place is just many miles north from there. If we are going to find Garett, we need to retrace where we lost him.” She sighs in frustration, “Can you just remember where you lost him?” He thinks for a second, “I can say that I can’t. Since I am not in his group when we do the split-up. We need to ask the others back at the camp. Which is another reason for you to go with me.” She groans and massaged her temple. She sighs as she approached her main working area, “I will not ask anything anymore for now. This is too much to handle for me. A big responsibility fell down on me and no soul can help me.” She started packing her things. She puts her grimoire in the bag. As she puts it, a handkerchief fell on one of the ingredient bottles that were displayed on a countertop. Her attention shifted to it. It was clear that there was a bump on it, indicating something is under it. She pulls it and sets it aside. As she turns her head at the area where the handkerchief fell, she can’t see anything on it. She blinks in confusion. She starts to search for the bottle of ingredients. “What are you finding?” Abigail turns her head to Gallant, “I saw a bottle was under the handkerchief and now… It’s gone.” She kept finding it. She raises the handkerchief to set it aside. But, instead of continuing to put it on the other side of the counter. She saw the bottle under it. She was speechless. She puts it on the counter and looks at it in much greater detail. The bottle of what looks like blue beads was attached to the handkerchief, somehow. She slowly raises the handkerchief and it was still attached to it like it was glued. Her mouth gapes in shock. Gallant saw it and was fascinated as well. “W-wow,” Abigail muttered to herself. She looks up as she saw more of these handkerchieves. An idea popped in her mind as her lips formed into a smirk. She grabbed a tall stool and climbs on it. She reached for them and went down with a handful amount of them. “I hope this will work.” She laid down a handkerchief and puts the small cauldron on it. She folds the handkerchief. She saw in front of her eyes the tiny cauldron folds like paper. She unfolds it and it was seemingly as it is. She giggles madly, “This is so genius!” She puts other smaller utilities in it and finally folds it. She packed everything that she will need. She based on the guide on her grimoire which she was thankful for. She stored the handkerchieves on the bag like it was no problem. Everything she needs was there inside the magical handkerchieves. Safely secured and stored. “I am not going to lie, those were pretty cool.” Gallant commented as Abigail giggles, “Now you must fear me. I might be able to store you in these handkerchieves if I ever needed to discipline you for some reason. Or, maybe lock you in here forever if you piss me off.” His eyes widen, “Woah, Woah. Calm down. Don’t a***e your power. That doesn’t mean you got these cool things you could do that to me. Besides, if you do that, you will regret it deeply. You don’t know all of me yet, Miss Crocus.” She smirks, “You don’t know all of me yet as well, Mister Gallant.” She snickers as she hangs the bag to her shoulder. “Come here.” She holds his hands and holds the symbol on the floor. They went back to her peaceful hut once more. “Are you ready for an adventure, Crocus?”
