The door creaked as she pulled it wide enough for her to slide through. Her long train did not make it easy for her to slip in and out of the doors. She found his goblet on the nightstand next to the bed. Edith began shaking so badly she was afraid she would spill the potion before it got into his goblet. She froze at the sound of footsteps heading toward the room. Quickly, she counted four drops and raced back to the doors that connected their rooms. She had just managed to pull the last part of her train through when someone knocked at the door to her room.
