Seth laughed, picked up the duffle bag, and brought it to him.
Nathan reached in and pulled out a couple of wrapped gifts for Libbie and Clara, and a larger one for Rachel.
“What is this?” Rachel asked flabbergasted.
“I'll bet if you pulled off the wrapping paper, you would find out,” his eyes traveled all over her, as if he were seeing her for the first time.
Clara and Libbie sat in their chairs near Nathan. They were excited about their pearl and diamond broaches, pinning them on immediately.
Rachel opened the present to find a very soft, stuffed animal for the baby. Her eyes almost brimmed with tears as she held it close to her. “Thank you. It is most thoughtful of you.”
“How are you feeling these days?” He asked, looking at her swollen belly.
“Very large, thank you for asking,”
