He had gone for broke. If the Italian captain denied him, there was nothing he could do. If he agreed to see the exercise, at least they would get some useful training out of it. And of course, it would provide amazing footage for the journalists. They had been able to record everything that the patrol ship had been able to do but they had never seen an exercise of that magnitude.
Pablo looked at Gianluca. The Italian captain seemed to be thinking carefully and he had come to the conclusion he had nothing to lose. It was definitely going to be a unique experience.
“All right Pablo,” he said. “But I’m warning you, I’m not easily impressed.”
“Excellent!” cheered Pablo. “I will go back to Albatros to begin preparations. It’s been a pleasure Captain. I will see you in a few hours.”
