“There are pigs missing here,” Grease said.
“What are pigs?” Ana asked.
“Kings and threes,” Gabi explained.
“Yes, I threw down a couple.” Ana said.
The other three looked at each other and laughed.
“Why!” Gabi exclaimed.
“Well I had a couple of ones. Then, I threw the king down to see if I would draw more. And I did the same thing in the next discard.”
“If you play low cards you’ll never have a meld,” Joseba explained. Obviously, you won’t do well playing the Grande and pairs are always worse. The best thing for you to do now is discard your pair of twos.”
“But I can win the Chica,” Ana replied as if explaining something very simple. “And Pairs if I have three of the same kind or a couple of pairs.”
“Three-of-a-kind or two-pairs,” Grease corrected her.
“Dammit Chief!” Gabi said.
